Hope none of you have had anything nicked but if you have it might turn up here..
I'm looking to see if any of mine are on there, theres loads!! B*stards!

My god, thats a real bad hand of luck you got dealt there, Its sickening when you get a bike stolen... such a violation I had 3 bikes nicked in the last 5 years... not to mention the dam inconvienience and knock on effect ...
I might consider "breaking" it so to speak just seems a shame at the moment as it's all complete, make me a cheeky offer if you want - do you recall the serial number of your old one? hope to god its not this one.... id feel inclined to give it to you!

thanks guys appreciate the comments - had a pm about this also in component form and shiney bits etc, so - Price £80 or near offers

Time to lose some of the fleet sadly, I hope to move house soon and room will be an issue for 4 bikes anyway!
1982 approx. vintage Holdsworth Elan in Ice metallic blue - (61cm) - paint has some surface rust marks, consistent with age being just over 30 years old
The Good bits
Rides really nice and pretty lightweight - overall clean condition and has been ridden 5 days a week the last month
Centre of crank to top of top Tube - 61cm
Sachs rear quick release
Shimano from quick release
Shimano 105 pedals
Tyres not matched, pretty old though but good enough for use
Front and rear matched Weinmann type 500 brakes,
Weinmann alloy brake levers and genuine Weinmann hoods
Cinelli Handlebars & Stem and Cinelli bungs, embossed GB stamps on both
Shimano Tiagra rear derailleur
Shimano Sora front derailleur
Campagnolo alloy shifters
Rims are pretty straight unable to determine look right for the bike though
Sachs rear hub
Front hub is alloy - is very similar can't remember - will check tonight
SR apex RG alloy Crank set Double and 6 speed rear cassette
Alloy seat post, long
All new gear and brake cables, neatly crimped
Gears and chain lubed properly with 'Finish line Wet Lube'
Reynolds 531 forks and Frame - (stickers a bit perished but present)
Now the bad bits
Bad bits, small dent just below front mech, large one on top tube
horrid seat no really it’s the worst seat ever made!Other than mention above the only thing I can feel a bit wrong is the handlebar the left geometry seems slightly inward somewhat but not enough to be dangerous imo still worth mentioning though as its good to be honest,
Bike is located in Portsmouth, Hampshire - Any questions just ask or for more photos
Price - well given the dent in the top tube and the really smalI one mentioned which is no real issue I don’t know what's a fair price to ask so do please make me an offer just don’t take the mickey! A friend has suggest using compressed air, I don’t have an airline and would rather people see it for what it is -
I will consider postage/courier ideally I'd prefer it be collected and seen in real light and ridden, it’s a pretty bike in my opinion either for proper restoration or fixie? Or keep how it is - I will have to go to my local bike shop and beg for a bike box and dismantle partially if you want the delivery option, I've never sent a bike so will have to ask about delivery options.

We should probably stop bumping the thread then (damn!).
To the OP, I've got one of these (earlier model) as my day-to-day hack and wet-weather commuter. Nice enough to bimble around on but it's not exactly long on engineering or aesthetic merit, and it's not worth trying to personalise a Halfords bike beyond making it comfortable for you. So, maybe put some skinnier tyres on it, fit a saddle you like, fit some mudguards (google how to fit them around disc-brakes), add a pannier rack if you prefer that to a rucksack. Then just ride it.
some sound advice there thanks for your input :) yes it is a fiarly good hack around, I've had a really shit bike before this, as all my semi decent ones get nicked.

Picked up this local bargain carrera subway, think its 2011 2012 -
it nides really nice much more like a mountain bike than a hybrid
had its first clean, a few of the bottle cage m5 bolts and stem bolts have rusted so I'm going to replace those with nice coloured alloy ones, unsure of the colour though? thoughts anyone how I can personalise this a bit more - not looking to break the bank too much , my road bike can do that!
thanks all :)
