First of all congratulations on being first across the line, a win is a win as already said and secondly congratulations on starting a new thread! Quite refreshing.
Riding and watching the Keirin 2013 and last year, it was more than obvious the top riders were laying off us nodder riders by similar distances (relative to HH) but that's because they're 1. playing with us and 2. it made it more exciting to watch. Your competitors clearly are not that good and without getting a stop watch out, the gap at the finish isn't that much less than when the Derny pulls off.

According to Lee Valley's website accreditation at the London Velodrome will set you back £95.00. And I'm just guessing here, you will need to have followed a pathway similar to Manchester to get to the start of the accreditation stage.
And then once you've got your accreditation you might be allowed to ride the boards :)

I was going to pick up a set of 40cm deda bars like above - any thoughts? I like the shallow drops and they are coming in under £20
My thoughts are, they're not narrow, just standard road bars. But for £20 and if you like shallow drops, press the button.

OK, refund received from ADR.
have to give them a credit for 'eventually' testing it themselves and admitting that the frame doesnt work with Campagnolo Record PIsta.
in my view all too little and too late but better late than never.
loads of people are very happy with their frames - especially TT meaning they must be decent.
However I have spotted a guy on the Reading Velodrome riding one of ADR frames and had a chat. What he said is that he is 'fairly' happy with the frame but wouldnt buy it again.
Lesson? yes, stick to big names even if they cost more.
So, what have you done with the money? Beer and fags, or Dolan DF4?

Well that was disappointing to get rained off 1/2 way through. Was good while it lasted. Outdoor events are always a gamble (unless CX)
Rain should not be a problem next season as the London Velodrome will be falling over themselves to hold the Good Friday meet, spring omniums, monthly open season events, super series, autumn omniums et all.
Not.
So sarcasm aside, who won what?

All track league riders with less points than me to have stabilisers ;)
On a more serious note.
With the increase in the number of riders taking part in TL. The time is right to make Monday nights part of the track league. C Racing combined with Aspiring Racer training.
And as Jason has done this year with judges, also make it a condition of riding Wednesday TL for the A's and B's act as judges on a Monday night.
And via British Cycling, Friends of HHV to run the one day assistant track commissaires course.
Not sure if I can make Wednesday's last TL, but this is what I'd be sponsoring.

Don't think the C's were the culprit's. From my vantage point I could see ** riders swing off the front in the most exaggerated fashion through the first few laps,** and coupled with the change in pace it made me very uneasy. I have ridden track for a long time and am very comfortable in the bunch. But this race was buillding up in intensity as the laps went on and it felt like something would give.
And from which club were these riders swinging up in an exaggerated fashion? The pace went up a bit when Alan Strang took to the front.
-
FWIW I don't think c's were promoting themselves. The race was billed as B+C scratch race, but obviously all the A's who hadn't made it through the derny heats were in there sandbagging too.
I know it's a struggle to run a good programme of events for everyone, but really that was poor planning - especially since most people had been sitting about for the previous hour and were either chomping at the bit, or tired and not well warmed up.It was not poor planning, it was poor riding that caused the crash, and I don't think it was particularly riders from the C's either who caused the crash. That is an easy cop out to make. The first riders to go down were about two to three bike lengths from the front and we were around 4-5 riders wide across the track when crash happened going at not much more than warm up pace.
It was riders dicking about that caused the crash, simple. Please don't make excuses for bad riding and certainly do not blame the organisers.

Jason said before the start, 'there's a lot of riders, so take care of one another.'
Sadly this was not the case and with the riders at the front having a noce chat, riding 4 to 5 abreast, flicking their bikes about, not holding the line, and kicking back I was fearful of the outcome and was bellowing at the riders.
Those riders who touched wheels and then brought others down, was the effect. The cause of the crash was happening over the previous 4-5 laps.
It is often the case, the ones who cause the crash are not the victims. Simply put, these riders were more intent on dicking about, than racing. And I make no apology for this.
I was 2-3 bike lengths back as the carnage happened and was very lucky not to come off. If it was not for the excellent riding skills of Maurice Burton's young lad, (sorry forgotten first name) who was in front of me, somehow found a path through the falling riders I would've been off.
I left the track promptly, so I do not know who the casualties were. I hope nobody was too seriously injured.

Strange choice of words. Coincidence?

You can't and never will be able to book. The velodrome is just an illusion left over from the Olympics. :)
