Just completed (literally 1 hour ago) my new build and commuting bike based on a Kinesis Convert 2 frame. Some new part and some part from my previous build. Next will probably to get a better crank, pedals and seat post in black (spent enough for now!). Any comments/feedback?
My feedback on the frame: the quality of frame is great however, the few comments/feedback found online are true...There are some annoying parts during the building process. First, surprisingly enough, the horizontal dropouts thread were too narrow for the halo aerorage bolts, they seem to be made for smaller axles. Second, the break pads on the shimano 105 rear short drop brake had to be pushed all the way down not to touch the tyre and that with the wheel being fixed as deep as possible. Third, the mudguards, I did not try this yet but looking at the space between the wheel and the frame/fork, this is looking like a challenge!
