I was told the other day that I behave like a typical single speeder. This was not meant as a comment. I'm not sure how a typical single speeder behaves. My crime seemed to be riding too far to the right and swerving about the place. I was indeed a good distance away from the curb but still within the bus lane - not aware I was swerving about all that much though.
So tell me, how do typical single speeders behave?

Brief chat with @se1derful this morning (because negotiating the heavy traffic around E&C without someone trying to hold a conversation with you is just too easy....)

^ I'm guessing that would be @finger_jockey

RIP Tao Ying. I must have passed through only minutes before it happened. Paid my respects again this morning (after the die in). So many people busy going about their day in apparent ignorance of the grotesque disruption to so many people's lives caused by this tragic incident. Utterly saddening. I pray for those affected to find the strength to see purpose in their lives.

I'm hoping to actually get on the track again soon. Won't be there this coming Sat but will say Hi next time I see you. Same goes for @Yukirin

Cripes. Sorry to hear about little 'un's crash. Hope swift recovery was made. Pretty sure I spotted @youramericanlover on the track and another cap wearing chap on a blue BobJackson. I wasn't able to ride - supervising youngest who wanted to come along and just "hang out".

Having already shed a tear at this awful news this morning, I later learnt that there is a husband and two young children that are now without a wife/mother. They only recently moved to London so husband has a very limited support network in London. One of the kids is away for half term. So desperately sad. Unimaginable loss. RIP. Condolences to all who knew her.

Nice to chat briefly to @finger_jockey this morning. Always makes me feel overdressed.

Kneejerk mouthful of abuse in response? Not (usually) my style. This morning's reproaches were also out of character - these days at least, I used to be more vocal but don't really see the point. But that junction seems to wind me up more than any other.
Rapha need to work on the fluoro and hiviz or I need to get my eyes tested (which is more likely).

Could well have been me last night. I didn't see you. Sorry. Also didn't see you this morning but I was indeed having a less than relaxing commute. "Various" is a touch of an exaggeration though. I only had an issue with two motorists. But in quick succession. That stretch is particularly bad and whilst poor road design should shoulder much of the responsibility, the two motorists this morning simply had it in for cyclists. I was a very good boy on every other stretch of my commute...
Turned away from my building by police due to a security incident. Went for coffee. Returned 20 mins later to see some chap receiving a "talking to" by the van he had parked illegally the wrong way in a one way street.
