Haha, hoping to get it built up real soon! Frame is on it's way to me and will be here Monday. Comes with seat-collar, mech hanger, headset and new BB bearings so quite a lot there.
I was just about to place some orders on new parts but thought I'd just have a quick rummage through my parts bin before, here's what I came back with..
Also got seatpost but it's not pictured

Hi all,
recently purchased a new frame so looking to build it with another groupset. Everything works perfectly but a few things to note.
Original hood tore when I was installing so I'll be including a brand new set of genuine replacement hoods. Rear mech limiting screws have a very small amount of rust on them. Brake pads are 50% worn. The bolts which keep the lever to the handlebar are made of cheese, one of them has been replaced with a star key bolt, makes absolutely no difference other than you have to use a star key!
cranks are 172.5mm and it's a 50-36 set.
Here's what it looks like on the bike, just cleaning all the parts now so will have pics later tonight.
What you get:
. 2 shifters
. front mech (braze on)
. rear mech
. chainset
. bearings
. BB cups
. brake calipersI'd like £230 posted please

Something we recently finished!
"Check out Alexander's custom Specialized S-works.
Originally purchased in a tired, worn out paint-job we completely stripped the frame by acid-dipping and media blasting. We use such a fine grain of blast it's perfect for thin-walled tubes like this. All original stamps and logos are still present in the frame (most blasters are so rough they usually don't show through!)
Once we had the frame raw we gave it a internal and external inspection. Masking went on and we were ready in the booth for some satin black powder.
After curing at 200 degrees we cooled the frame and rubbed it down with 800 grit paper ready for the matte lacquer which went on very thin for that extra durable finish. Stone chips, what stone chips?
Alexander is really happy with the frame finish and he's built a stunning bike. Just the right amount of stealth!"

Baz - will do, we've got some really pretty frames in the paint shop as we speak that should be done very soon and up on the site.
Vintage stock is going up everyday on the website too. It's taking a little longer than I thought but each component gets cleaned and checked so this is where the time goes!
In the next few weeks we're looking to do some cool giveaways, everything from water bottles to custom paint.

Finally got round to stripping her down. Doesn't look too bad from the pictures but the quality of paint-work was shocking. Horrible masking, poor quality paint, poor coverage and starting to look really tired. Frame is '87 and I'm probably guessing it wasn't painted too long after it was made.
Frame has now been sent to my blaster so should have it back in a hour or so. I'm going to be powder-coating this frame rather than wet spraying so it should be ready real soon. Ordered my new wheels so hoping the bright colour with carbon rims will look cool.

Specialized hub on Saturne tub rim. Tub has popped. Wheel is straight and runs butter smooth. The profile of this rim is stupidly shallow, proper oldschool climbing wheel. Covered in sawdust, needs a good clean.

Mavic MA10 clincher wheelset. Both wheels are 9/10 true and bearing could do with regreasing. Suntour hubs. Braking surface is used but still have a lot of life left in 'em.

Please excuse the crap iPhone pictures and mucky groupset, my hands were greasy when I was taking them off the bike, they will be cleaned before packaging.
