You can shim all kinds of parts with a coke can. I've done bars, seatpost and crownrace/forks. Probably and indication of how many jobs I've bodged? Problem is getting hold of a coke can, they're banned in our house!

Hoping to do a SR series on a 1985 Bob Jackson I've recently renovated to fixed wheel. The most I've done so far on it is 100k. Still it should be "fairly" easy in the flatlands of Cheshire? I've got the highest admiration for those that can achieve a SR series fixed containing AA points. I'm afraid it would be more of a walk than a ride for me!

New to this forum, but I wanted to say I did this ride last year on a 1953 Claud Butler Silver Jubilee. the ride and the event was somthing I'll remember for a long time. Hoping to build up a 1976 Colnago Super to ride the year if I can find the parts for the build. If any one is going over this year from the Manchester area and wants to split the costs then let me know.
