very split opinions, all my mates think it looks shit 😂
anyway ill do some filling out.
next question, he said do just oil it straight on top without sanding, but theres still pencil marks and stuff from transport so i kind of want to sand it.. is that super dangerous with this kind of ply?
the woods going to be on show, it wasnt planned to be painted but now im really feeling this kind of ply isnt meant to be on show?

we have a friend of a friend carpenter doing some shelving for me atm.
in my office there are two very shallow cupboards (20cm or so deep) and we wanted to pull out the framing and doors, and replace with deeper shelves.
when discussing the brief he said the plan was to frame out the cupboards and build shelving into the frame, sounds great, lets do it.
... what has been built is basically a book case that slots inside of the cupboards holes (this is clearly not finished but you get the gist)
.. anyone else think this is very weird? the frames now stick out from the wall, instead of just the shelves which is what I expected.
the reasoning is they are worried about the weight (theyre going to be full of records) but im still somewhat surprised

350 a day is alright for a proper bricky* Whether its a 4 day job ive no idea. I guess get other quotes and see if they are consistent.
we had similar brick work done on a front wall that retains plantation like yours, in london, it was probably a little more work than yours but not much and we paid 1500 .. i thought it was insane but speaking around it seemed like the going rate

im trying to buy an electric towel heater for a bathroom but im confused on some of the language.
it cannot be plumbed in it has to be mount and power only (no central heating)
something like this: https://www.traderadiators.com/towelrads-independent-straight-electric-thermostatic-ladder-radiator-white-1200mm-x-600mm seems to be what i want.. but im doubting myself on ‘thermostatic’ which my brain is telling me it might be both plumbed in and have a heating element?
Im also guessing you dont just want to … fill it with tap water? very confused
