Well it's taken 9 months to get Telfer back from the painters, but I finally picked it up over the weekend and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. The attention to detail is awesome! All of the old brittle filler around the flanged areas was replaced and sculptured beautifully. The Telfer logos were all stenciled on as a part of the enameling process, which is true to the way Rob Telfer originally painted his frames. Now I've got this thing back it's time to get it up and running!!!

Yeah the grammar is a little confusing, I was looking for links myself until I realized what he was talking about.I'm planning on a Campagnolo Record Titanium 9 speed groupset if I can get my hands on one. I'm waiting for a Campagnolo Zonda wheelset to arrive that stars7 very kindly sold to me. 3ttt Pro Titanium stem and 3ttt Prima bars. Selle Italia Flite saddle. That's if I can find and afford everything. I'll post photos as components start to arrive!

Hi all,
I just recently bought this 1998-99 Rossin Krono frame set off ebay. I probably paid way more than I should've, but I was on the look out for a road bike project and I couldn't stop drooling over this one. Before I committed to buying it I contacted Andrea Chiarini at Grouppo Bici Srl (Rossin) to see if I could find out some additional info. He was very generous with his time and information about the frame set and his reply convinced me to pull the trigger, although it also left me wanting to know more about who the frame set was originally built for and what history it might have. Below is the reply Andrea sent me...
"Thanks for your message and for your Rossin product' enquiry.
Hoping that my extra info below will be helpful to you.
We are talking about a special frame from the Rossin production.
The frame, named "Krono", was made with special alloy tubes made from Columbus under the specifications requested by the Rossin' technicians. The frame was proudly made in the Rossin workshop in Milano.
Considering the serial number, considering the fork and for some other details, it seems that your frame was produced around 1998/1999 and previously sold by Math Salden as official distributor in that period. Furthermore the unconventional serial number suggest to us that probably the frame set was made for a professional or an Olympic rider.
That frame was only made to measure with a special type of TIG welding with the characteristic to use more material than classic TIG welding then the extra material would be removed by an artisan and expert hand in order to feel a smooth connection between the tubes.
Of course the special alloy material used for that frame request a special heat treatment after the welding operation.
At your disposal for any further information if needed. Let me show you our personal complements for your special Rossin frame set.
P.s: the color of your frame was named "Twin silver shadow"
Best
Andrea Chiarini "

Yep, I'm a total nerd! I always do a drawing of the way I want my bike projects to turn out on my computer before I start.
