how much you willing to spend? am happy to do it relatively cheap so any offer will be thought upon, just lying about atm. the saddle is white brand new no tear on it at all. a rip off of the charge spoon but a nice saddle, very similar.
sorry now I've already sorted a frame, and possibly a saddle, but I'll keep yours in mind, thanks very much

you can have the frame off this, decent steel frame can upload a pic later,
also have a chain and a San Marco Rolls seat, quite old and a little bashed up but still pretty good, again can upload pics if your interested.thanks for the suggestion – I think the frame's too expensive for me at the moment. what colour is the saddle? does it have tears on it?

Hello
I'm looking for a few missing components in addition to what I have to build my first fg/ss bike with. Would be very grateful if anyone can help.
1. Crankset: silver pista, vintage or modern Campagnolo / Shimano / Sugino, cranks 165mm, 46-48t chainring (I assumed 46/17 would be a good ratio for a newbie?)
2. Saddle: vintage San Marco or Brooks? If possible in rather good condition, without scratches.
3. Silver track pedals with toeclips and straps – Campagnolo / Shimano / Miche…
Also I need one of those basic all-in-one toolkits for small tweaks, as currently I have no tools apart from a couple of allen keys and a spanner.
If anyone has and would like to sell any of the parts above, please feel free to contact me via PM or email: tutu@theday.co.uk, I'm based in North London.
Thanks

Thanks to everyone for advice. The bike certainly looks odd, though the set up on pictures was a result of trying to make it fit, as before it was even less comfortable. It's difficult to explain how I managed to come up with such an arrangement.
Following the suggestions, I've tweaked it a bit and now I think it looks more standard, though still uncomfortable (picture added to the album). So I probably do need a professional consultation.

if it's an issue of struggling up hills, why not keep the bike and put a derailleur and shifters on it? goff frames are in the top flight for handmade performance steel.
thank you, your comment made me think. I didn't research much about Steve Goff. It might be not so much struggling up the hill but also that I'm rather uncomfortable on the bike when riding longer distances, to the point of being sick. It could be the set up. If I wanted to convert it to a racer, I'd probably have to leave only the frame.

Hello,
I'd like to sell this lovely white ex-time trial bicycle, refurbished into single speed with a tensioner (non-horizontal dropouts) by a previous owner. Frame builder was Steve Goff, made of Reynolds 631 tubing.
Very lightweight, which was the reason I bought it about a year ago, after my racer was stolen and I was desperate for anything my size. The reason for selling is mainly the amount of hills on my way to work, for which one speed is not the best option.I would also consider swapping it for something with a derailleur and about the same size (I'm 5'7" so I guess 50-53cm, preferably square as some track frames seem to have a rather female-unfriendly geometry). Not a ladies frame though.
Frame has no rust, only a few small paint chippings (these were smartly concealed under stickers, which I have recently removed because to me the bike looked like a christmas tree, so it's slightly different on the photos, I'll try to take more new ones later). I have also replaced original ITM handlebar stem with a shorter adjustable one, can provide the old one if needed. There's small crack on the front brake hood and the front wheel skewer has some rust, but otherwise no damages I believe. I haven't ridden it in rain (you can't fit mudguards on) and generally tried to treat well.
Below are specifications to the best of my knowledge:
– Reynolds 631 tubing, frame size 51cm/20"
– Campagnolo Record bottom bracket
– Campagnolo Athena cranks, 170mm
– Campagnolo Chorus headset
– Campagnolo Centaur brake calipers
– Shimano brake levers
– Condor seat post
– MKS pedals
– San Marco Rolls saddle
– 3TTT Colnago bars
– ITM Millenium adjustable stem, 100mm
– Cinelli gold bar tape
– Custom-built Condor/Mavic single speed converter rear wheel (with chain tensioner). The hub is 130mm, single speed, fixed cog compatible.
– Unknown brand quick-release front wheel
– Schwalbe Stelvio front tyre, Zaffiro Pro rear tyreYou can see lots of pictures here.
**I'm putting a price of £300 (or equivalent bike), but I'm open to offers. **
I know that the frame&forks originally cost £465 and the components are good quality. I could possibly split the bike if anyone's after a particular part and is willing to help me with tools which I haven't got.
Collection from London N19, sorry I wouldn't post.
I'm new to this forum so please let me know if I've done something wrong. Questions welcome.
Thanks

Hi, sorry I can't PM because I'm new on this site and the policy is that I need to post 3 times in existing threads and be here for 24 hrs to get a permission.
I'd like to see the bike – I'm in Tufnell park as well.
Would it be possible to arrange viewing for tonight (after 6pm?), or monday morning before 9am?
my email is tutu@theday.co.uk
Thanks

Hello, is the bike still on sale?
If yes, could you possibly advise on the size? I'm 5'7" (170cm) and have always had frames with men's geometry – I think the biggest one I've ridden was about 54cm, but I've read that Dutch frames could be slightly oversize? Also, do you happen to know the bike's weight roughly? And are the pedals included by any chance – what type would they be?Thanks very much in advance

2nd dibs… what is the clamp size btw?
