Had 2 bikes stolen from my shed this afternoon / evening. SE3 area.
One an old Holdsworth with hand stitched leather grips!! (hours of labour)
25 inch. Maroon paint work.
1970's Steel Frame.
Cinellie bars and stem
Vintage Campy groupset
(old photo's below... - but good enough)The other a LOOK (orange carbon tube) 1999 with Campy Xenon Groupset and terrible Bar tape...
60 cm Frame
Distinctive old fella.
Sadness...
Let me know if you see em.
Ta, Ben
Can't find my photo's of the LOOK, but will get em tomorrow... -

I'm fixing a friends messed up city bike. I need to purchase a 38tooth(or thereabouts) 5 hole chainring, with 74mm BCD.
I can't seem to find anything on ebay or the other usual sites.
Is there a secret wholesale market out there in the murky depths of web land to find less common kit like this.
I could just by a new triple or double chainring set - but he's poor and doesn't wanna spend any money etc etc....
Thanks.

No dear chap...its me thats out of touch.....Jones from Dad's Army used to refer to his time in the army and how the 'natives'...didn't like British cold steel...aka the bayonet.....hence...'they don't like it up 'em.'
Dad's Army references - now thats something I can deal with.. Game of Thrones however, not so sure.
Actually watched an episode the other day - just like old times. No need to panic.

I've got a 1983 Raleigh Record Ace 531c. Complete bike in "ice green" looks totaly original down to the cotton bar tape, with Campag derailleurs, friction shifters and 27" wheels.
PM me an email address if you're interested and I'll forward some photos. Thanks Some Guy - Really would like 700c, though and I should have said in my original post that I don't really want a Raleigh frame! Having said that, yours sounds like worth a look - but not keen on 27" wheels...
Is that nasty?
I don't know - I'm naturally opposed to anything that is popular... Maybe I'm a Raleigh Racist?

I'm after a road bike thats done some time. Reynolds 531, 753 or Columbus SLX, SL....
Would like a complete bike, with preferably a shiny Campy Ergo Groupset. I'm happy for the frame and groupset to be 'used', so long as theres some life left.
I'm talking about vintage frame geometry and definitely no aluminium!
£300 to spend...
