I'm collecting parts for my Mielec frame which will arrive in about two weeks. But I'm a little worried about the fork because it's allready pretty old. (http://mixednutsband.com/bikeparts.htm).
Can I still trust this fork?

Collecting parts for my Mielec build which will be painted in two days. The fork is from a trek oclv 110, I'm a little worried about the safety? Does anyone knows if the inside of the fork is aluminium?

I think it's a bad idea especially when you have knee problems. And the way down is not goint to be any fun. I would concider a geared roadbike if I were you. (I did ride l'alpe d'huez)
