Butters - Naw, my Chi and fogger were bought second hand, the KFL and nano kit brand new from Cloud 9 (that hurt the credit card).
The gennies and the drippers were second hand.
Only thing I have bought from f/t is the nemesis and a couple of flat tops for the Chi - yeah, you wait a while but its a nice surprise when the packet arrives. First order took six weeks, second order using Singapore post took just under three weeks.
Prices are mental but you need to do your research on what is good value and what is junk.
Hope that helps

Butters - I've been meaning to do this for ages but have been too caught up in other stuff.
Thank You
Thank you for your advice back in November when I was contemplating getting into vaping, tomorrow will see my 16th week of not smoking, something I previously considered impossible.
I feel better, I look better and I smell better and a lot of that is down to the advice you gave at the start of this journey.
I've spent lots of money but that doesn't matter and anyway, that's what credit cards are for!
I've ditched all the starter stuff and I'm now happily vaping a 18350 nemesis with a KFL nano and a 18350 Chi You with a fogger. I've got three drippers, two gennies and I ordered more stuff from fastech yesterday.
So cheers fella, you and others on this thread have changed my life for the better.
Keep up the good work!

Hippy - I'm not sure that you should 'force' these things on others. Its a choice the smoker makes - he/she doesn't want it made for them.
Stopping smoking, or even cutting back is something that takes guts and dedication, its not something to be taken lightly and its not a decision that someone else should make for you.
There are plenty of really good starter kits out there but unless someone actually has an interest in vaping then you are probably wasting your money.
If I bought you a CB radio/pair of shin pads/a frying pan/decorative crystal owl/new born kitten etc etc it doesn't translate that you'd actually get into it/them.
There are some great starter kits out there, maybe it would be better for your in laws if you did lots of research so you could extoll the benefits of vaping, get them interested and help them make their own decisions? Because its hellish confusing to the newbie vaper which can be very off putting.
Butters was a star when I asked for help, but I had to make my own decisions and mistakes before I started to understand what vaping is all about.
Hope that helps?

Is there a 1 stop shop you can visit in London to get all of the gear in one place along with some sound advice ?
The wife and I would like to get a grinder / espresso machine for Christmas but are pretty new to the whole bean to cup lark. We just like nice coffee,
Primary uses would be for a pre ride / commute espresso, flat white at weekends (when I have more time) and a Mocha (for her), Black coffee for the in-laws.
We have had a tassimo machine for a couple of years and while convenient, , it never really hits the spot.
There is a coffee and bike show next weekend in London, near Liverpool Street/Brick Lane - kill two birds with one stone??

I won't remember to take a photo when I get home but I recently built some lovely shelves with hidden fittings across a much wider alcove - bit of 2x1 baton some 12mm MDF and away you go. I got all clever and installed hidden lights so it looks proper nice.
Not difficult to do, seriously not difficult.
As long as you plan what you want to do and where you might need to hide cables etc it is fairly simple.
Good luck

There is no reason whatsoever that your plan won't work, but trust me it won't work, this is IKEA stuff we're talking about, it doesn't perform as you'd hope, the foil covering will rip as you cut it and it'll be all wonky no matter how careful you are.
What might be a better idea is to wall hang the upper part of the unit, maybe with some nice lights behind and then get rid of the lower cabinet and put your speaker in the gap.
Or get some nice shelving made up that fits snuggly in the alcove.
IKEA stuff is great in certain applications (actually is shit but I don't wish to offend anyone) cutting it down like you suggest will make it even shitter.
You'll thank me later

Quick (slightly smug) update.
Since buying my vape thing yesterday I haven't had a fag - haven't wanted one, hardly think about having one - the vape machine is used and all is good.
FYI - I've smoked for 30+ years and I can't recall a day that I went without a fag.
Maybe a bit early to say I'm a convert but it does feel good!!
Thanks again for all of the advice and support

Well, I ignored Butters advice and bought direct from the shop, the vaping vault in Brighton. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and very patient with me, gave me lots of flavours to try, different machines to try and even let me try her own personal vape.
Spent just under £30.00 which got me an eGo-C Twist that has variable battery output, the tank thing, a charger and two bottles of juice.
Dunno if the kit is any good but it looks OK for a novice like me.
The lovely lady then mixed the two juices into the tank and checked I was happy with everything.
So, the journey begins.....
Many thanks for taking the time to explain everything to me, its much appreciated.
Cheers

itsabruce - the layout will stay pretty much the same, a few tweaks here and there but basically the same - afterall it seemed to work last time.
Music is in the same room as last time but we've really ramped up the spend on bands. The headliner on Saturday is worth the price of entry alone.
We've got a few more traders and the refreshment offerings should be vastly improved.
But, as always the main focus of the Convention is getting some 300 of the worlds finest artists together in one place. This is a tattoo show - everything else is there to hopefully complement this.
And you'll be pleased to hear, no roller derby and no comperes (aside from the two daily judging sessions).
It's going to better than this years show - lessons have been learned and changes made to make it better.
Cheers
I have now found one.
