I've just looked at the DiaCompe site and they do 2 sizes:
http://www.diacompe.com.tw/product_View.asp?nid=818the smaller size looks exactly the same, but with the sleeve taken off.
Can anyone confirm this? -

I have a 1" threaded Token headset on my new frame
I've been riding it for about 3 weeks now.
But I noticed the headset was loose.
I tightened it up.
It was loose the next day.
It keeps loosening itself....what can I do?I opened it up to see if the threads were OK, they were.
But it looks as if there is not enough room in the lock nut for the top of the stem.
I don't fancy taking a saw to it, maybe a 2mm spacer?Maybe I'm tightining it wrongly - do you need 2 spanners, like with hub bearings?

Hi
I have a new steel frame (Bob Jackson)
and a new carbon post (Tifosi)
(I got a carbon one as my frame + saddle are both black)I have 2 Issues:
1) the post Slips down. After using it for the 1st time today, the post slips slowly into the frame, when riding. I'm sure I got the right size post.
I can't seem to do the SeatPost Bolt on the frame tight enough. The bolt seems to be a tad too long and can't be done any tighter.
I did get a teenie clamp with the new post - I am not using that - was I meant to?
Is my seat bolt really too short, seems mighty odd.
Maybe I'm just too fat!2)
I have a 350mm post and > 2/3 of it is inside the seatpost. Seems stupid to carry around too much.
Can I chop any of it off?
How much do I have leave inside the seatpost? -

the Sugion RD2 cranks + 103mm BB gives a 45mm chainline

lol
I did the same thing for the same topic
http://www.lfgss.com/thread86167.html
I want a 45mm Sugino!
I'm after a 45mm chainline + was told the sugino messenger gave a 42mm chainlineCan't you just put the ring on the inside of the spider?

The RD2 with a 103mm bracket gives a 45mm chainline, according to their website.
more confusion
I thought the RD2 + the 103mm BB gave a 42mm chainline
which I interpreted from here:

I have a goldtec rear hub, (which for some reason they have spaced at 45mm.)
I need a new BB + crank.
Frame is a new BobJackson (std British / I.S.O. BB thread)I don't want to spend >£100 total
I'd like a 130 BCD crank, so I can reuse my chainrings
and a crank that can be removed with my std shimano crank extractor.I like the Sugino RD Messenger Crankset @ £60
http://www.velodromeshop.net/index.p...roduct&id=1672but no idea how to get a matching BB of the right size.
Sugino do a 103mm BB - but that will give the std 42mm chainlin
I'm finding the ISO/JIS taper compatability a minefield2'd hand would be fine too
help....

Hi
I've just ordered a Bob Jackson Vigorelli Fixed Frame
most bits will come form my old bike that died. But I will need a seatpost its needs to be 27.2
How do I pick one?
I'd quite like it as plain as possible.length? or does it matter - they all seem to be 300 - 350mm. can I saw it shorter?
Aluminium, steel, or carbon?
2nd hand off ebay?

if no one is going to answer you, you'll have to work it out for youself
Sheldon gives some good info:
http://sheldonbrown.com/chainline.html
Every fixed rider walks Watershipdown
I saw a couple of fixed blokes set off at the front (one on a OnOne)
I also saw a fixed lady in a bobble hat
