I always have a tag on my keys with my full name, address and registration number of my car. That way if I ever loose them, someone can always return them to me.

I have a donated one from RVL, the BB is not the issue, it is the rear freewheel. Might have to have a rummage round to get a better spaced rear.

Right had a bit of a Thursday night play. Acquired a few parts this week. Thanks to Mr Rik Van Looy for a couple of kind donations.

I also cleared a back room at work, which turned out to be the old mechanics workshop, so it is dark, dirty and smells mouldy. Perfect!!!!! Whilst moving things about I managed to find a few more parts for the build.

The bars need a mahoosive chop but I cannot find my sword so they get to stay stupid long for this week at least.

I have a chain somewhere but cannot find it, so I cannot ride it yet, but it is not far off. Not sure the chain line is going to play ball as it looks a country mile out. But we shall see........

That Corsa is mint! Is it for sale? I love chicken wire on cars, it just looks so right. I hope it has a massive exhaust on it, but only the back box though, as the cost of a full zorst is mental.

I hope it's the three cylinder version, the one that sounds like there is one guy sat in the engine bay hitting a spanner against the inner wing.

Down tube friction shifters are a delight to use. I miss having an push iron with friction shifters.

Where did you get them from? I was thinking of going against the grain somewhat and converting a track frame to a road bike. I have made some parts which need sticking on, using pipe cleaners and frayed underpants. These drop outs might just be the last part I need to complete the build.

Man my head hurts when I read this thread. I really want to build myself a bike which will really, really please my peers, even if it isn't to my liking, and reading through this thread I just cannot decide what bike I should build to make people like me.

Let's get this back on track. Where can I get a spok painted matt black? I want it to look similar to the result one would get with a rattle can, but more expensive.

Spray them with the nozzle pointing at a 90 degree angle to the intended article, that'll work out quite expensive.

If you are binning the red tyres, give me a shout as I have a perfect project for them.

I too was struggling with the choice of bar tape colour, but simply went on Planet X and picked the cheapest tape. Which happened to be white with silver flowers, much to the delight of my cycling mates.

I love Planet X gear. I have just built a Nanolight as my Sunday bike. It is an absolute delight to ride, just makes me want to keep pedalling.

Hopefully the last few parts come your way soon enough and you can get out and ride!

Cheers Rik, Just removed the seven speed freewheel and dropped on a 16t single speed freewheel. Not sure how it is gonna be geared finally, more than likely stay single speed freewheel. In that case plugged not thugged will be the call.
