I’m going to be sad to see this beauty go :-(
Sadly a new and exciting home move means that this classic Dawes Super Galaxy 531 touring tandem has to find some new loving, lucky owners.
Originally a never ridden “barn-find” that had spent 30 years dormant, we’ve restored it to classic but modern touring setup that not only looks like it’s fit for a true “famous five adventure” … it actually is!
You’d be hard pressed to find another classic tandem is such good condition from this vintage. It’s fully serviced by Brixton Cycles and ready to roll so we’re looking for £950 ono.

This is a true London classic.
Dawes Londoners were built as light weight touring bikes, under licence from Dawes by the long since closed Covent Garden Bikes based on 1950’s designs. They typically used standard Reynolds 531 steel tubes although this one must have been a special one - it’s of the 531st variety.
It was given a complete makeover by our friends at Union Cycle Works. You can read more about this here:
http://www.unioncycleworks.org.uk/stories/page/lucys_londonerThe result is a super light comfortable bike with classic styling – perfect for just about everything that doesn’t involve any big hills.
We’ll be sad to see her go, but times move on and new bikes await …
Available for test rides by appointment - followed by cash exchanges - at Bermondsey High Street or the nearby the mighty Peckham Rye.
