Obviously some of you have only just spent the time and money on travelling to manchester, so we know that you'd be doing this again to get to glasgow.

Also, as it says on the poster, we're really encouraging newcomers to come to this one, so there will probably be folk who have never played before.

The tournament will be shuffle style; teams are shuffled each round, and individual players earn points on the league table. This means everyone gets to play and no one gets knocked out.

Games starting 9am, tournament around 10am.

If you guys fancy it, there's a great day of polo to be had. If any of you can make it, we'd love to have you up for some polo.

Hey, would you be up for posting the Front bolt up skewer?

Got this for a song on ebay. Was maybe going to use the cage for a different helmet or something, but quite happy with it as it is. Pads are rock solid though.

After searching for ages for a reasonably priced hockey helmet, I'd recomend an ebay search for a cricket helmet to anyone.

Finished the shifter-brake (after having put the spring on in a fashion that had it permanently locking the brake then doing it right. I is dumb).

It works great; looking forward to getting a game with it.

If I get an indexed shifter, I'll be taking out the ratchet mechanism as per metroid's link. I think this is the way others have done it before.

A friction shifter is being donated though; don't know what type yet but I'll be reducing/removing the friction, and attempting to install a spring in it somewhere so it returns.

Cheers for all the pointers. Getting hold of some shifters this week, so can post what I come up with.

Is anyone running a front brake actuated by a thumb shifter?

I'm going to put this together because I only want to use a front brake now and again so don't want a dual brake lever.

It will have to be a friction shifter, but do all non-indexed shifters have the same pull? Is there any particular brand or model proven to work in this application?
Anything else I need to watch for? (Will the brake return properly with just the spring of the brake arms/caliper? probably going with v brake, but could run cantis.

Can't find anything online along these lines.

The lovely Digger fitted my new cranks today as I seem to have a skill of fucking up extraction threads when taking old cranks off.

I'll get some better slave style pics when the Jet Stream finally heads north over the weekend/next week/never.
