Getting a bar end lever from Wardy later this evening, but realised I probably need new bar tape for my bullhorns.
Does anyone have any? Not too fussed about colour, but preferably black or blue.
I'm hoping to pay about a fiver, but could be tempted to pay more if someone has something that's worth more. -
Sounds good, I'm going to hazard a guess that it's a 200TT, I think you posted a photo of it a few months ago in here.
I'll take it for a fiver, I think I can handle the wobble at that price!
Are you about at all tomorrow? I've got lectures at ARU all day but have a bit of time between them if you're around. -

Managed to unlock my bike today, went by after a work meeting to check nothing had been nicked, and thought I'd try and wedge the snapped off half on my keys in and see if it would twist, luckily enough it did, and I just went and bought another lock so I can keep using the chain.
Bit of a result really, glad I didn't have to wait until tomorrow for the city rangers to cut it!Out of interest, has anyone got a bar end brake lever for bullhorns for sale?
I'm after something like the Tektro 4.1, but it could be anything in that style really. -
Maybe, but then it's a free service so it's hard to complain.
The guy literally refused to accept a tip when it happened to me.
That's true, I'm not really bothered at all, just found it a bit of an odd time.
Out of interest, did you have to inform the police so the rangers had permission to cut your lock?
The woman on the phone told me that they wouldn't do it unless they got permission from the police, as otherwise they'd be acting on my word and I could just be hoping to steal the bike. -

Not a local 'sale' but I didn't want to make a new thread.
Just went to unlock my bike at uni and the key snapped in half in the lock, anyone near ARU that has any experience with this sort of thing?
It's a krypto "keeper chain 880" so I guess the easiest thing to do would be to just cut the chain?
Unless of course we could cut the lock itself in which case I'd just keep using the chain and replace the lock. -

You're right, I've only seen two of them here in Cambridge, so I'm guessing the other was yours!
Funnily enough, I'd never seen another of my frame, and then I spotted one on my way to work last month and another guy riding the same frame (except with gears) stopped next to me as I was locking up to ask where I got mine.
Surprising for a frame built up north in the 70s! -

The side pic isn't a problem, but I'll have to get the wheel clearance pic later today, I've left my bike at work and the only other wheel I've got is missing a tire so it would be pretty pointless!
I've also taken some photos of the little scrapes that are on the forks.
Nothing structural but they're there so I thought it'd be worth posting them.By the way, I have had interest from someone saying that they'll take them, but if I've not heard anything back in the next few days then they'll be available again, I can't wait around for too long!

Has anyone had a white front Schwinn "deep dish" aluminium wheel go missing?
I found one on my way home from work tonight without a tyre or tube down Gwydir St and thought it might belong to someone here?I know it's a long shot but I thought it might be worth seeing if anyone knows anything, didn't wanna leave it there for someone else to nick!
That's true, it's just finding the time to cycle out there, it feels like I'm either at uni or work constantly at the moment.
In reality I could probably have gone at any point today, and could also do so tomorrow.
