My Merlin extralight, with a new fork, seatpost and saddle. Obviously not as stiff or light as most modern bikes but I'm still impressed at how fast, responsive and comfortable it is despite the fact that the frame is almost 25 years old :)

Obviously there's a lot of flexibility whith front derailleurs, I'm not saying otherwise, but in that particular case (campagnolo 10sp transmission and 8/9 front der) it is really painful to adjust.

It won't. Using an 8/9 sp campag front derailleur with a 10sp crankset will lead to the chain falling from outer ring when shifting up. That's why 8/9 and 10sp campagnolo derailleurs are different.

It's 8/9 speed, and it can be challenging to use on a 10 speed setup (personnal experience :) )
The 10 speed fd have a small bit of insert in the outer plate this one has not

It's not a CAD3 (to me CAD3 and CAAD3 mean the same but I may be wrong) but a 2.8 frame, which was available up until 1996.
It's probably an honest mistake but the guy has put so much effort to have it resprayed and built, he should at least have known better and put the correct decal set...

That paintjob is very nice, though I'd remove the rims decals and the time ones as well.

But it bothers me that the guy is selling it as a caad3 restoration when this obviously is not.

There is a Flite version (not the titanium) that matches it rather nicely. Had to replace mine because it was too short (20cm) but maybe a longer version exists?
Anyway, I think a black seatpost also matches the gun metal stem rather well

Selcof titanio are pretty nice and not ad pricey as record or chorus ti. Use alien are nice too but a pain to adjust...

Also I've been doing some forks swapping with my cavallo and merlin which now has a nice wound up. The Cavallo ends up looking pretty good with the look fork

Hi, I've got this frame badged as a ciocc, it's sc61.10 alloy, seems very well built with a rear monostay that resembles the airbnb logo. At first I thought it was a challenger because some were also built with sc61.10 but the rear stay is quite different. Anybody ever seen something like this before?

That's lovely. Anyone could explain the point of such high headtube?

Hi, I'm looking for a freewheel body for an early 2000 Nucleon rear wheel. If you have this, or a complete rear hub please let me know.
Apparently the freewheel are similar to 9/10sp record, chorus and Daytona hubs from the same period as well as proton, shamal, neutron and Bora so interested as well!

I may have some cool stuff for an exchange but also willing to buy :)

Anyway, I like the white cable casing, it matches up well with the matt blue.

Here is my small contribution to the topic, an R2000 from 1996 that I just finished assembling. I will certainly swap the current seatpost (chorus steel) with an sp-7410, and the front derailleur will be also changed with fd-7403. Not the most comfortable ride but super stiff and reactive for its age :)

What would be a decent price for a vgc campagnolo nuovo record groupset without brake levers and callipers ? Including 27.0 seatpost, pedals, stem handlebars and headset?
