I'm building also a Caad5 - r900si (in a dark blue to light blue faded colour), and is 52 seat tube / 54 top tube (c-t-c),
i've bought a 90mm, but not sure if it is too short, as i'm also +/- 5'10

Yes, there is allready a washer, but even with the washer there is some play,
will try to film it today, just to understand if the amount of play is ok, or too much.

I've mounted some new cantilevers in my bike, but found that there is some play :S

the pivot (correct name?) is a bit longer than the cantilever "body"

What should i do here? sand the pivot?

the painting work is amazing,
the only thing i could change, is the crankset, for a black one. yeah but i do understand, like that it match the seatpost/stem/handlebar.

Missing the brakes (should arrive today), the stem is not the final one (a thomson is on the way), and also have to find a better looking seatpost collar (is this the correct name?).

went in a different direction related to the brakes,
after some advices, i bought a set of mini v-brakes (quite cheap @ Decathtlon).
Also some parts arrived, and some are due to arrive today.

Had some free time in my lunch break, and up we go to add some liquid to the wheels and check clearance.

Seems pretty good for me, i think if i went for a bigger size tyre, there would be no clearance in the front, so, very happy with it:

Looking at that "side", you are right.
Was just thinking in the price, but yeah, an nice headset (no need for CK) is like.. 40/50£ + other bits and bobs... so yes thinking again maybe is not that exagerated.

At the office i used mainly headphones, but at home i do preffer speakers, and, only on the moments that i really need to be 200% focused that's when i change to the headphones. that was the reason why i told that speakers would be ace :)
