I will run to work for the first time tomorrow.
It will be the first long run as part of the marathon preparation, something like 12-13 miles, half of them along the Regents Canal (roughly).Any advice on running along the canal on rush hour? I guess it will be full of commuters.
I will be running very slowly, trying not to be faster than 2 hours.Any tips or advice appreciated.

I do this routine 3-4 times a week and it does the job pretty well:

TBH I switched completely back to Garmin Connect for cycling/running/swimming with the beginning of 2013. At least it keeps the real data coming out of their devices without making up stuff.
Plus it doesn't lack of many Strava features, maybe only segments but London is full of shitty ones anyway and I am quite fed up with commuters pretending to be in a TdF stage just for a segment.
I will still upload on Strava for the added nerdness of these tools though.

I was thinking the same...
I found something like this earlier today but if somebody has a better alternative I am interested.

(btw, truemilk, depending on which Garmin you've got there's a reset function (I think my Forerunner you hold down two buttons and the bezel) which'll be in the manual. Always clears mine when it freezes, and it boots straight up into working normally again)
Yep, found out this morning trying to google for a solution :(
In the end I didn't miss it too much to be honest, I enjoyed that distance for the first time and probably it was better this way. I'll remember for next time the fucker fucks itself up though.
Anyone normally doing Gladstone parkrun?
