Just in case you missed it, the Classic is back. I went last year, and although it's pricey it's bloody great, an awesome day out.
Ridiculous bike porn, amazing speakers, and good coffee, grub and booze. You can get tix here: https://goo.gl/KotHAz

My 1000 keeps on trying to install an update and then it always fails as it 'could not be validated'.
It seems that whenever this happens when i next turn it off, the unit turns off, but the screen sort of freezes with the power symbol still visible.
It then doesn't turn on again unless I hold the power button for about 5 secs.
Anyone else having this?

I'm small in rapha, small in castelli
As @MitzEclipse rightlfuly points out, the sizing up advice is more for portly Mercedes driving bankers and whatnot

Got the zwift free trial and I tried a free ride when doing my own structured workout the other day.
Didn't really get it. Couldn't get very enthused and turned it off after 10mins
Was that coz I wasn't engaged properly by not doing one of their workouts maybe?
I kinda want to like it but this didn't win me over. Does it take a few goes to get into it?

Had a go on zwift. i had my own workout that i wanted to do but just did a free ride and looked at the screen whilst listening to tunes.
turned it off after 10mins and reverted to youtube replays of racing.
couldn't get in to it at all, but i guess that's because i wasn't properly immersed in the experience?
pretty shite there's no decent music too?! definitely will be listening to my own music if i try again

The price of these things takes the piss really. I got free entries to Ride London and Dragon Ride last year, and whilst they're good fun, I'd never pay. Happy to pay £20-30 odd for a club organised thing, but big companies like Human Race can do one.
Also, seems that VeloBrum have fucked it somehow

genius.
i like the little set of notes hanging off the side.
and i'm with @TheArchitect, the paincave pics are strangely interesting.
mine is a work in progress, hence my inital post. the only interesting bit is the little plastic bike wallet thing i got free from somewhere dangling off my garmin mount with a caribiner clip. My phone goes in it for handy spotify access. -

How do people get their laptop or tablet near their bars when on the turbo? I used to have my stuff set up in the front of the telly but have recently moved and so need to use computers for visual stimulus.
Am toying with doing a bit of a DC Rainmaker DIY job (below) as the Tacx tablet mounts look shite or overpriced

I may be over complicating this but:
I want to do some sessions where the first half is very easy and fasted, the second is hard interval stuff, which I want to be fuelled for.
How would you advise fuelling for it? Eating something small as soon as I start the whole ride so it's digested for the hard second half? Or something very quick digesting like a gel as soon as the going gets tough?
I know the obvious solution would be two desperate sessions but I just know I won't get on my turbo twice in one day coz, well, CBA really

Anyone using the live suffer score IQ App?
I've downloaded it and added it as a field into a data screen, and first ride i tried with it, it just stayed at nil all ride, and in the next it didn;t seem to register as downloaded at all.
What am i doing wrong? I use a 1000 and didn't have it bluetooth connected to my mobile, am i supposed to do that? And if so do i need to have data on?
Please help a luddite.
