I swapped from 48:14 to 48:15 yesterday expecting it would feel like I was being pushed along by angels but I just felt like I ran out of gear. I ended up bouncing in the saddle anytime I wanted to race someone. Also, it's fucking exhausting spinning everywhere. On 48:14 you can pretty much coast if you want but can fly if you need, 48:15 felt like I was an overweight mother of 4 at a spinning class taster session.

Specalized Globe Daily - £260
Thought I may as well offer it up before I try and flog it on eBay/Gumtree. Looks exactly like this - http://www.totalfitnessbath.co.uk/2013-Specialized-Daily-1-Step-Thru-p/9217-1002.htm?gclid=CI30sPnvmLoCFZQZtAodvA8ASg but I'll include pictures later if anyone is interested in it.
I found my girlfriend this in the summer, as a (not so) cheap off the peg bike, it even came with a CD because all bikes need a CD manual, included btw.
Unfortunately, she's since moved to a flat on the third floor with no lift, so it's having to be stored outside her house as she can't carry it that far. Having found and bought her something lighter and trendier, it's now your turn. It's got massively long mud guards for the winter months, 3 speed gears that go from "Christ this is easy" to "Shit, I think my chains come off" and a basket with a 5kg rating but I've seen her wobble along with far more than that.
Also it's got a scuff on the mudguard where I got drunk and crashed but it was fantastic fun to ride. I even overtook a few, fairly fat, lycra clad commuters on it once when I couldn't be arsed to fix a puncture one morning.
Hopefully next year she'll move to a fourth floor and be after something carbon.
It's available for collection in North/Central.
Cheers!

According to Strava, about 60 seconds, then my lungs give out and my quads explode. Is 100 rpm a comfortable cadence for you?
