dark haired lady with earphones in riding Eversholt street towards Camden this afternoon. Purple and silver, all chrome, brakeless. Would have attempted to figure out a make, but it was so shiny, I was slightly scared of looking directly at it.

Dual pivot s'il vous plait. Silver if possible, but black also considered, doesn't need pads. It's for a beater, so I'm looking for something in the sub £10 category.

We use GRaids at the film production company where I work. Masters and clones. Out of about 30 drives, we have only had 1 fail. Pretty decent stats in favour of the GRaid, if you ask me.

2x 1TB GRaids? You can partition them both and voila, 4x500GB. Also FW800.

I'm no expert, but for this I think you will need threadless forks with a 1" steerer, and then a 1" aheadset such as - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-record-threadless-1-inch-headset/

And then obviously a stem with a 1" steerer clamp.

Good laugh though! Let's do it again soon, it was worth the rain for the country roads on the way back. Also loved the return route through Epping forest. The sunbursts catching the steaming roads was quite something!

Looking for a cheap old steel track frameset with nice tight clearances for a beater/ratbike. 56cm.

Not arsed about aesthetic quality, as long as it isn't going to fall apart.

Few frame threads around, yes, but nothing quite right.

I've seen various bits and pieces on the web about issues with the lockring on ellipses not tightening down enough. The fix appears to be a small freehub spacer on after the cog, then on with the lockring. Re: the lockring itself, I don't see any reason a PW wouldn't work, but again, evidence suggests that a mavic lockring is more suited...
