knackered my current crankset so I'm after a square taper crankset with a 48 tooth chainring, or alternatively a 5 bolt square taper crank with 94mm bcd. ideally set up for singlespeed

can pickup within reason (saturday afternoon/sunday morning), don't neccessarily need the LHS crank, but if you've got one..

really?! I generally feel less conspicuous on foot.

I ride or drive because my knees are fecked and walking even a couple of miles kills me. I'm also ultra paranoid about being mugged so choose the bike as an alternative

Scum have tried to mug me 6 times on foot, (just 1 succeeded though) never had any problems on bikes.

I shouldn't imagine its a problem, I've seen a few (particularly older bikes) with a tight chainring/chainstay clearence.

Good work there, I might have to try that with some of my battered stuff
