You're the one that sounds irritated and I'm not sure why. A bog standard rim brake second hand ti frameset for £300 is achievable. OP try searching for Airborne - they often go cheap.

Never heard of Brian Wilkins but it's a 27" frame which accommodate 700c with big tyres nicely. £50 seems like a good deal.

Basically a nitto classic, probably made in the same factory. Acetone the logo and it should look good.

I miss the heavy sturdy ride of my old Surly 1x1 so I'm after something similar in ride feeling to be my do-everything bike.
- I'm 6ft3 so it needs to be fairly big
- Rigid steel frame/fork (something like a Surly Ogre, On one Bootzipper, Kona unit)
- Pref some gears but would consider SS that i can convert
- Ideally with some sort of wider mtb bar (not drops)
- 29er preferably but open to others even a nice big retro 26 mtb
- Room for 2.0 tyres minimum
- Budget flexible but not over £600.
- Needs posting or can potentially meet Birmingham/Chester/Manchester/Leeds/Nottingham.
If you have a lovely retro 60cm steel audax bike I may consider this too

Hey, thanks for the correction and clarification - after checking it seems Brook did do a special range called the 'Swallow select' with copper rivets. Looks very nice indeed! All the best selling it.
