Interesting, thanks. Seems to pretty much coincide with the Jutland Route, but could be a good second source for info.
Maybe I should add that although I've never been on a proper multiday bicycle tour, I've traveled a fair bit and I am in good shape, so I'm definitely not afraid of a proper challenge.

A friend of mine just moved to Oslo, Norway a couple of months ago. Me and some friends want to go and visit him in mid-May. They are going to fly over, but I am considering cycling there (and flying back). I’ve been contemplating taking up cycle touring lately, and this could be the perfect first time distance / challenge to try my hand at a 10+ day trip.
I live in Belgium, current idea is to train to a place called Emmen in The Netherlands, and take the 900km Jutland Route to Denmark:http://www.groteroutepaden.be/route.php?itemno=801 (only in Dutch I think)
Then ferry to Norway and about two more days on the bike to Oslo.
Only thing is, I’m afraid the north of Germany and especially Denmark are quite boring to cycle through. Has anyone ever cycled there? A ‘Jutland’ search on here found nothing.
Is that part of Germany and Denmark just boring to cycle through? Or would it be a good first-time-solo bike trip? Moreover, I’d expect the last bit in Norway would actually be the best, and then the cycling part of the trip would be over. Although that could just leave me wanting more…
I could just join my friends on the plane and take a two week cycle trip somewhere else sometime (Italy, Croatia,…), but It’d be cool to show up on my friends doorstep by bike, I like having a goal of some sort.
I’m quite new to touring – I’d have to get a bike and everything, so I appreciate any info / advice!Lieven.

Pictures not visible, at least to me.
Link doesn't work, at least for me.Google finds this:

I suppose it's the same bike? I that case: bloody lovely paint scheme, too bad it seems quite rusted. No girl available to build this for right now for me though.

They are the VO porteurs on mine. Don't know if you can fit drop bar brake levers on them, or how it would look.
This bike is coming together very nicely, @jambon! -

Thanks for the comments so far, food for thought. Somewhat contradictory ideas from different people though :)
