Fancy building up a Single Speed over the summer based around a nice frame.
Not top, top end as I'm not ever so flush- but would love something with a tour name on (as per title). Otherwise anything classic 70/80s with horizontals, in this size will be looked at thanks.
Anything with a usable headset and BB already fitted, would also be nice.
Let me know if you have anything. I'm in Milton Keynes and don't really fancy getting on a train at the moment. So postage may be required please.

Single speed to commute on so looking for something reliable and mechanically sound but also looking for it to be a wee bit attractive. E.g. a nice balance of functional but still little bit nice to look at.
Single speed
54cm or 55cm
Prefer risers or bulls if possible
Vintage or modern
I’m in Milton Keynes but happy to pop to Euston to meet for collection
Budget reasonably flexible depending what’s offeredCheers

Wow thanks for each of your replies and advice. Much appreciated.
Both Hilary Stone and Singlespeed Components think they have stock that will fit and advise I need a hex nut fitting calliper. Like you've all said I just need to measure the drop correctly. All the hex nut callipers I've seen so far (mostly ebay) are strangely long drop but I think my frame is standard drop but I'll do an accurate measurement based on Sheldon or Hilary's measuring guide.
My spares box is filling up nicely with stuff I am buying twice!!

So this turned up...

And I stupidly ordered these...

But think I need the older style calipers with a thinner bolt than modern ones
Anyone have any please. Standard drop I beleive

Had to track Will down via his business email address via Facebook. Not ideal but he did apologise but frame hasn't left yet (as far as I can tell Belgium). Apprantly it will be posted tomorrow. I get people have stuff going on more important than bikes. Just a courtesy message would have been nice. I really just want my frame now :-(

Hmmmm...
Getting a bit concerned about this now. Fully appreciate a Bank Holiday weekend has happened but Will/antibard hasnt logged on as far as I can see for 10 days. I sent (maybe stupidly) £110 via Bank Transfer to him for this frame 10 days ago and I've had no frame , nothing to say it's been sent, no tracking number and no reply to the three times I have contacted him regarding when I might receive the frame.
Bit worrying to say the least.
Will - If you see this. Can I have an update please!

Hi Will/Antibard
Could you have a look at your PMs please?
Paid a week ago for this and just trying to get an idea when it might arrive? Is there a tracking number or anything I can use?
I've tried a couple of PMs regarding this over the last few days but not had a reply. I've had people waiting in for a delivery but no idea when it's coming/when it got sent?
Please send me a quick update so I can get an idea of progress
Thanks
Ben

Thanks Pete
So VSprint wheelset with 16T Sturmey Archer freewheel (fitted?) for £74?
Reckon I could be in for that. I'd appreciate and would have to take up the London Bridge offer but I'm struggling with the trains Fri, Sat, Sun. Mon due to engineering works. Could you get them in to London Bridge Thursday this week or mid week next week?
Can take this to PM if we need to discuss meet up details etc
Cheers

Now need some bits for it starting with a rear wheel with freewheel on it. Flip Flop also fine. Not looking for anything to fancy but not to crappy either. Please let me know what you have.
I'm in Milton Keynes so postage preferable bit I will be possibly be passing through Euston in the next few days to return this which I'm too fat for :-(
If anyone wants it for £20 + £3 uk posted (it's brand new with receipt) please shout. Size Large but comes up reasonably fitted.

For Trade
OFFERED
Near new Cannondale CaadX Sora Disc Cyclo Cross 2015 Model
54cm Frame
This was an insurance replacement for a shed break in just before Christmas where I had 2 bikes thieved. I had a 29’er Mountain Bike and Fairdale Single Speed taken. I ordered this thinking it would kind of replace both and I could keep indoors and save space but I regret my choice now and wish I’d ordered just a nice Single Speed from Wheelies
This was delivered just before Christmas by Wheelies.co.uk bike replacement scheme. I have all the paperwork which I am happy to include for guarantee purposes etc
There was a scratch to the brake lever during transit (which I have complained about, proof available) see pic. The bike arrived just before Christmas fully built/greased etc. All I had to do was twist the bars round to the correct position and tighten and whack the Crank Bros on. There is a document available which shows what was checked upon the build at the store.
I have ridden the bike twice briefly. I was considering keeping it but now know I want something different. The bike is perfect except for the aforementioned lever scratch and also the gears are skipping a bit in the high range so will need some adjustment
Also included:
New Crank Bros Mallet pedals
I can also include an almost new pair of Shimano SPD shoes in size 44 with the correct cleats for the pedals (Crank Brothers) for the right deal

A nice Single Speed of equivelent value in 54 or 55cm. Happy to take a less decent bike plus some cash if difference to be made up is needed. Something older would be nice but would consider all really.
Can swap at EustonPlease PM if interested
Cheers
