There's a couple of long-term empty shops on the corner of Lower Richmond Rd and Putney Bridge that I've often thought would be ideal bike shop/cafe territory. So much passing cycle traffic of all kinds there - I think Putney Bridge has the highest cycle use of any of the non-inner London bridges.

That was a glorious weekend, and apparently a great success - looking forward to next year already. Good to meet billundben and tapsandbath, having spotted their lovely bikes.
100 hilly miles in the heat and a long sleeve wool jersey definitely took their toll, but fizz and pimms at the Chatsworth stop picked up the spirits.
There were still a few old fellas grinding up the long drag from Ashbourne about 5.30 as I headed home - got to admire their tenacity, and hope all got back ok. Would love to do Gaiole next year.

Sorry not to make it all the way to bath with y'all, but that was a great day's riding. I made it back as far aswokingham then conceded defeat in fading light and hopped on a train. I think that's the fastest sustained effort I've done single speed.
