I've recently just picked up a Doug Hartley women's bike to do up for my sisters birthday. I was just wondering does anyone know anything about these bikes or about Doug himself? All I managed to find out is that he owned a bike shop in Hale. I think it's quite a nice piece of local history.

Saw a tall guy on a lovely Bob Jackson riding down curry mile the other day.

Anyone know anybody near Altrincham way that would be able to fix my front derailleur for me as It doesn't shift up? I'll obviously pay.

Okay thanks for the reply I'll try and get it sorted when I get back :)

Basically the front derailleur on my road bike isn't shifting up however it is shifting down. Will the cable need replacing or is it just a case that a bit of adjustment is needed? I've had a quick fiddle with it but to no result. All replies much appreciated.

P.S. It's Shimano.

It's a great bike and will be up for sale on the main board soon where I'm certain it should sell, unfortunately just not got the space at the moment. You don't see many of them about now a days.
