British Cycling developed from the old BCF which was the UK cycling body of old (and a bit crusty !) the new BC is much better and the cycling scene developing with the success of the UK racers / tv etc. BC may be better overall for your needs and it is a more general than just specific to London - which also looks good though !

Been looking here for a while but now getting more into the Fixie so thought i would join - looking forward to checking out the Fixie Scene in Brighton and one day a thrash round London on it.
