What the hell do they pain these things with? Does the colour result from the fact that they use pool paint? I've taken to using the road as much as possible in wet weather on account of the excessive amounts of surface water.

I said DAS to a cap wearing bloke midway across London bridge at 5.30pm today. I looked like a power ranger on my motorbike and you gave a cracking WTF face.

I got DAS'd by a gent on a motorbike whilst going over Tower Bridge 5.30ish last night. Full leathers/lid so I couldn't see your face but the eyes were smiling. As was I the rest of the way over.

Didn't DAS as I was going slow at that point.

I've messaged you but had no reply. Did I pick up the right pair? I uncoiled them when I got them home to discover that they were just plain old gators, not hardshells. As you weren't there at the pick up in Kinoko, I can't be sure whether you misadvertised them or I just got the wrong ones.

I crashed on the sofa at a house party of a friend of a friend. I was the first to wake and headed upstairs to use the facilities. On the third stair sat, what must have been a perfectly curled, Mr Whippy of a turd except for the footprint in it. And subsequently on every other stair, a shitty footprint. In the bathroom, a pair of discarded be-fouled socks.
Later a pair of shitty jeans were found in the kitchen which led to the deduction that it was one of the housemates who was responsible for the muck spreading endeavour. He decided it was best to go and get a six pack before embarking upon the cleaning mission. Quite the charmer.

I found drivers in North America generally to be much more considerate. Vancouver, Atlanta and Nashville all provided a much more enjoyable interaction with the local traffic. Initially I wandered if it had something to do with the litigation culture but it did just seem to be a different driving culture.

I was told that in other states driving was a lot worse so I could have just been lucky witht he towns I visited.

A sad start to the week. Rest in peace.

So, last night my old Dave Quinn was stolen from my friend's yard in Walworth Road. He'd been borrowing it for a few months because his bike had been had away.

Tatty black orange and yellow paint and half chrome stays, 531c tubing, odd geometry ST 63 c-c tt 55 c-c. The rear bridge had been clumsily welded back on leaving some obvious colouring on the chome. Mavic Aksium front wheel, Miche Xpress rear, Stronglight crankset, Cinelli Criterium drops and Cinelli stem. 1 drop lever on RHS. Brown Bucket saddle.

Pretty distinctive in all its ratty glory.

How about the XC's? XC2's can be found for roughly the same price as the Aliums, have a slightly higher RRP and look more like the ROC's.

I'm definitely leaning towards the ROC's for the sake of an extra few quid after reading a few of the recommendations on here.

Edit: I've just seen the ROCs listed as ROC (XC2). Question answered.
