Okay, thanks. The cumulus stuff does look good but don’t fancy paying the duty. I have found a Spark I at quite a bit less than S2S’s quoted price so have gone for that. Plan is for summer use - maybe at altitude so will have to combine it with wearing plenty of clothes! Pack size looks good though.

Has anyone used a Sea to Summit Spark I. This seems to be a popular one for bikepacking/ultra racing and it looks like it packs down small and is light which are my main considerations. Any thoughts on this or similar alternatives?

If you are on a gravel parcours like the Romanian one last year where Josh Reid was moved out of GC and you have arrived on the parcours at the same time and are about the same speed, presumably it is difficult not to be riding close together.

It looks like Thomas Jacquelinet - 168 - tried to cross the border into Macedonia at Miratovac which according to someone on FB who sounds like he knows about such things has been closed for years. The next one along - Tabanovce is prohibited by TCR perhaps because it is a busy road so he has had to take a further diversion to get over the border. He has a moving speed of 25.7kph over the whole course.

There is usually a suggested wording of the doctors letter in the race manual. My GP was happy to give me a note for a nominal fee. I used Yellow Jersey and they did pay out for a small claim made which they paid without fuss, so I would use them again.

So you don't do tubeless for road at all? I am tempted after all this to revert to tubes as all of the things which initially stopped me from converting seem to be true.

Can I ask what width tubeless rim tape you use?
