We're currently on a tracker mortgage (base rate +0.87%) as when our last deal expired last year, the talk was all of successive rate cuts in 2o24.
That's not really happened, and we nearly switched to a five year fixed on 3.89% recently.
That deal no longer exists, and the best rate with our current provider is now 4.09%.
Anyone else who has renewed or switched lately - did you stick or twist?
4.09% is still less than we're paying now, and the idea would be to keep paying what we're paying now so there was an overpayment every month.
Still bitter about Truss and Kwarteng - we were on 0.97% on our last deal.

Has anyone got a yellow kitchen? Or something similarly bright/unusual?
Our kitchen is going in a former dining room which will have no windows (though the adjoining dining area will have rooflights and patio doors). I think it's going to affect how colours look and so I think something friendly might be nice.

The inconsistency is also making it more interesting. Fulham look like they can give anyone a run for their money, but then lost 4-1 at home to Wolves, who looked absolutely bereft for most of yesterday's game.
The best thing about watching Ipswich this season (and even if we go down, it's not unexpected or a disaster) is that for the most part, we've played better the better the opponent, so even where a spanking is inevitable we've stood our ground.
Next games for me are Newcastle (H), Arsenal (A) and Fulham (A), with Chelsea at some point in between that I'm not going to.
1 point from 9 in those would probably be in line with expectations, but you just don't know.

My son was ill so I had the day off work today and took him to the new DIY Kitchens showroom.
I liked what I saw, the staff were great, and aside from another wobble on colour it mainly shored up what I had in the plan rather than shaking me out of it which is good.
Please can everyone with a recently-done kitchen post pictures of it so I can be jealous/find inspiration/be sure that I'm happy with what we're going for before we commit to anything more firmly?
I had a ticket for Ipswich at home to Newcastle today, got told my attendance there might compromise my quest to see every away game this season, and had to sell it.
I am very grateful to my wife.
