I wouldn't quite say that but it's definitely the only game I've seen where I've come away from it thinking we lost because we came up against a team with a better plan.
Liverpool we ran ourselves into the ground and they strolled past us, Man City we gifted goals to and they didn't get out of second gear, but yesterday we played to our best in the first half and couldn't find a way through, then were shut down well in the second.
It was the only game I've seen where we didn't get a lot wrong but didn't look like we'd get anywhere.

We got 5 points from Leicester, Spurs, United and Forest, which is probably what I'd have predicted before those four games, just in a different order. And such fine margins in all the games, it could easily have been 10 points.
It's definitely coming together, and there are players who looked like League One was their ceiling who look every bit like PL players now (Morsy, Burgess).
But if Delap gets injured or suspended before January we're in a bad way, and Tuanzebe went off injured today and he'll be a massive loss because he's been unreal.
If we can get something from Palace on Tuesday it will really help us get back on track.

Anderson was very good today.
Best atmosphere from the home fans this season, Mull of Kintyre really gets blasted out.
The away end wasn't really conducive to a good noise from us.
I thought we matched you well first half but you came out very strongly in the second and managed the game really well after the goal. Murillo and Malinkovic is a hell of a CB partnership, Delap got nothing from them.

Speaking of a big step up, I'm disappointed we've only got a point from United after that performance.
I would only have dreamed of writing that a few years ago. Cameron Burgess must be pinching himself, he looks like a Premier League centre half now, at the start of 2022-23 he wasn't first choice in League One.

His post-match interview yesterday was a car crash, just ranting about the referee and other decisions that have gone against them. He sounded a bit like he'd lost the plot then, and it might be that he's not really bringing the team along with him.
You'd assume it would have to be something behind the scenes, because they're in a respectable position now given the step up and the change of manager.
Their fans were still salty when they won the league though, so perhaps the ownership has similarly unrealistic expectations.

Our architect has got confirmation from Thames Water that a build over agreement doesn't apply in this case.
I think a metal frame built into tiles might be preferable to intolerable digging- and they've also concreted the base for the extension now so it's more about how it might end up looking than whether it can be moved.

Below is what our plans say.
There is a reason why it couldn't be redirected, I think because our neighbour's sewer joins ours on our property (as with all the other properties on our street).
So it sounds like it will be sealed but will still need to be accessible. Which presumably will make flooring difficult?

I think what I really want is this sort of thing, but nicer looking:
French doors with sidelights, but with less chunky frames.

Has anyone heard anything, good or bad, about Vufold?

I got a set of Ercol chairs for a good price that need refinishing.
One has a crack in the middle of the seat pad and I'm not sure what the best thing would be to fill it with. I get the feeling that a slightly darker line would be better than one that's too light and "natural" wood filler tends to be quite light.
How dark is the Ronseal dark one?
Is there a different product that might work for this?

Immediately outside will be a patio, long term possibly one that's covered by a pergola with wisteria on it as a bit of screening/summer shade. The garden is west facing and people with similar setups have suggested they can get quite warm in summer.
Where the compass is will be a seating area, probably with a chair or sofa against the wall with the non-opening window in it.
Faced with chants of "you're getting sacked in the morning", a downcast-looking Guardiola humbly reminded Liverpool fans how many of his last seven games had ended in defeat:
