They don't just own the club, they were allowed to just buy their way into the pyramid, circumventing the rules that are supposed to stop German football from being hollowed out, and they operate like the City Group in a way that cares nothing for loser "legacy fans" or clubs' histories.
I definitely thought Klopp was better than that, even though I never liked him that much.

I wonder if his seemingly completely needless attack on the Civil Service was meant solely for Elon Musk? It emerged at the same time as the rumours that he's about to give Reform UK £80m, and he's been attacking Starmer a fair bit.
Obviously it's appalling if we're attack public servants to please a right-wing billionaire toddler but at least that's a strategy, I'm not sure why else he'd be trying to reduce the morale of the very people responsible for delivering his policies.
It sounds from the civil service like Labour haven't really got the hang of being in government yet.

Did everything turn up in good condition?
The main negative I've read about them is things turning up damaged and then the time taken to replace.
If we went with them it would probably be custom painted as well which means an even longer wait and potential matching issues if it's doors or panels that are damaged.
I'm also not completely sure that I trust us not to change our minds about whether we really do want a drawer there or whether we could squeeze another unit in the island which Howdens would be better accommodating.

Yep that's all fine, but it's a different issue to what I'm talking about.
I've also said quite clearly that I don't think all trades are rip-offs, I've said that our builder has been quite transparent about it and happy to share how the pricing and negotiation work.
But the Howdens system, which is what my complaint was about, is obviously set up to include a big grey area.

Our builder has a very good relationship with Howdens and says the way it works is:
- Howdens name their price
- The builders say it's too dear
- They reduce it to what the builders want
A transparent pricing structure would be better - it seems like Howdens' is set up to allow builders to choose how much they can rip off customers by.
- Howdens name their price

Because - I probably should have explained this better - this was after we'd chosen the design, carcasses, layout, worktop, etc.
As an opening question before you think about design it's definitely useful. But after you've already explained what you want it sounds like "how much profit can we squeeze from you?"
-
We just had a Howdens guy round to look at the kitchen design.
He asked "how much do you want to pay?"
This really isn't a customer-friendly pricing strategy. Luckily we've got a DIY Kitchens design we like, and a DIY Kitchens showroom opening 15 minutes from here on Monday, so that's at least a negotiating point.

Does anyone have any experience with Clearwater taps?
I thought they were the forum-approved ones but realised that was Crosswater.
I've gone off the Quooker a bit due to the cost, ongoing costs, and how much cupboard space you lose, but I like the idea of a filter tap.
Filter tap, with a pull out. Clearwater Toledo looks good, any others?

Windy, wet, twisty road, hugely powerful car and trees is a bad combination at any time I guess.
