has this been removed yet?
I removed it this afternoon.
A couple of weeks ago I soaked it in coca-cola and wd40 for about 48 hours. It didn't move after that so i tightened everything up again and cycled with it for the last two weeks. Had another crack at it today and managed to twist the handlebars while holding the wheel with my knees, then it was fairly easy after that.

I'm pretty sure pedestrians crossing/waiting to cross side roads have priority over those turning in.
This is correct according to the highway code

I've search but couldn't find what i was looking for.
I'm trying to remove my quill stem but i think it is corroded and siezed up against the inside of the steerer. I have managed to free off the wedge and move it down away from the quill but despite trying various things i cannot get the stem to budge.
Has anyone had this happen to them? Is there an easy fix or will i have to sacrifce the stem and cut it off and then try to get the remaining part out of the steerer?

This morning at about 8am, I'm cycling along Palmer Place just after crossing Holloway Road, heading to Liverpool Road. There's a queue of traffic ahead of me stopped at the lights so I'm going pretty slowly. A guy on a red and black Cervelo road bike passes me at speed and is obviously not looking where he's going because he crashed straight ito the back of the car at the back of the queue. He was lucky not to go through the rear windscreen or do any significant damage to the car because he was going pretty fast. I stopped to check if he was ok, he said he was but looked in some pain. Don't know how much damage he did to his bike, maybe bust the forks or front wheel. It was completely his fault because the car was stationary, perhaps he'll look where he's going a bit more in future.

I need a crankset to a fit a jis square taper bb to replace the damaged one on my beater. I currently have 170mm cranks but not too bothered if they are longer or shorter. If you have anything knocking around that you don't want then I'll happily take it off your hands for cash or beers.
If it comes with a 46t chain ring then even better :)

This looks so much fun, i've always had a soft spot for konas. I was thinking about trying something like this myself in the new year. Is it the original rear wheel you're using or something specifically single speed?
Yup, just used the original rear wheel, removed cassete and replaced with a single sprocket and spacers to get the chainline correct

Just finished converting my old kona fire mountain to singlespeed to use as a winter beater. It's been hanging up in a cupboard at home for the last 5 years so figured I might as well use it. I've owned it from new, got it for my 14th birthday back in 1990. Just used cheap shitty parts to do it. Maybe one day i'll go all retrobike on it and restore it to how it was originally.

Funny thing happened to me the other day. Got pulled over for cycling through a green light as I was cycling past the pedestrian crossing outside Aldgate station.
No other traffic around apart from me (which was a bit wierd considering it was about 6pm), so the peds were just crossing the road on a red man. I cycled though them as I was on a green light. I'd noticed two policemen on the right of the crossing, then 50 yards further on there was a third standing in the middle of the road telling me to pull over to the right hand side. Conversation went something like:
Popo: Do you know why I've stopped you?
Me: No.
Popo: What colour was the light you just went through at the ped crossing?
Me: Greeeen.
Popo: Really? Were the peds crossing on a red man then?
Me: Yup
Popo: Ok, I'll take your word for it as I couldn't actually see what colour the light was.
Me: Ok, it was definitely green. And then i just cycled off thinking what a proper bellend that policeman was.
