I found this old transparency the other day, my '63 Duo-Sonic. Sold in the early 90s. Sigh. But it was too dinky, really, and a bit hard to keep in tune...

Maybe think about vintage Musicmasters/Duo-Sonics too, these are 22.5" scale, great for the small handed

Vintage Mustangs are reasonably consistent re neck shape/depth IMO, at least until you get into the mid-late 70s which might get a touch chunky. But neck profiles are a very personal thing - so hard to know if someone will take to a guitar, even one with impeccable cred.

Might they like a Jaguar? Same 24” scale.

I thought my order was GENIUS and I could trim a shot on blue given time but an 8 is beyond me I fear

Edit: wrong round shared above. My big idea, pff, was blue then back for red.

No idea but I had the loan of an old Framus banjitar many years ago. It was a dog but it played just about ok with a capo. I ended up mucking about with various Nashville tunings to mimic the 5-string reentrant tuning/peck string sound, it made it worse for solo but sounded amazing with others. It was fun...

So an easy fix AND cheap, excellent.

I've just updated my iPad to OS17 and now whenever I go to Conversations (my usual LFGSS home page), or page 2 etc of Conversations, or any section eg. General, Bikes & Bits, my onscreen keyboard pops up. It also does it when I open any thread on the last page. Basically, almost everywhere. This is only Safari, not Firefox; I know, Safari is shit. Can I fix this or is it an apple bug?
