Good offer and not a bolloks idea at all. If all goes well I'd expect this to become a sticky along with other good value services offered to forum members.
There might be interest in wheel truing at a decent price. I'd also be interested in learning wheel building - perhaps having supervised DIY wheel building.
BTW you might consider offering courier delivery using Jaz -
http://www.lfgss.com/thread73620.html#post2449475I'll certainly be keeping this in mind.

getting it toed in is usually enough. Tip - use a matchstick between rim and trailing end of brake pad to get spacing. TIghten up with brake pad pressed against rim at front and against matchstick against the rim at rear. You can use something a bit thinner too - e.g. rubber band, bit of inner tube, etc.

Interesting and very well written digest.
Seems to me that if dangerous and illegal behaviour towards cyclists is disregarded by police, then one can expect frustrations and this kind of altercation. Unacceptable conduct towards cyclists appears to be ignored by police, so dangerous behaviours become more common and frustration builds. There is a real problem that police aren't doing their job - e.g. enforcing ASZs, taking action against dangerous driving towards cyclists etc.
There seems to be a very negative attitude towards cyclists by police (at least in London). That's something that has to be tackled - which probably means addressing this at a political level - i.e. making this an issue for MPs and councillors - who can then put pressure on at senior levels of Met and City of London police, including setting police priorities.

If no one selling, there's plenty of info out there on how to build one. You can also buy plans. If you want one built for you, you could try somewhere like here - http://www.theoldsouthernforge.co.uk/about.html

"Besides, Japan is not a cheap country to live in."
Accommodation is expensive, but apart from that, it's cheaper than UK for a lot of things. Online / mail order for bikes is a bit more restricted - often cheaper to go to stores in jp. For online, could try:
Carnival Tokyo - http://canivaltokyo.ocnk.net/
Y's Road (bit like Evans in Tokyo) - http://www.ysroad.netThe problem is the yen is so strong at the moment - conversion rates make it look more expensive, but even so, prices are about the same - e.g for Scott Speedster (as example).
(yes being close to manufacture isn't a factor - shipping is very cheap - costs more getting from dockside to store, and again from store to door than from factory to overseas port).
What about knocking together basic lean-to? - 2x2 treated timber, OSB base and plywood - basic box but with sloping top, then use anchor bolt rather than rely only on hinge & lock and add a battery operated alarm for added security.
