It's doing great or was doing great haha. It had it's first crash on Wednesday :((((
It was a lovely day and I was all set to smash out a few miles before doing the Stratford Tempest sportive this Saturday. I managed to stack it after hitting a drain cover, 2 minutes into the ride. Ended up sliding along the tarmac layering it with the skin off my backside. Luckily the only witness to my folly was an elderly gent who just asked if I was okay and said nothing more!
Damagewise to myself was my ego obviously :) but just some road rash on my knee and butt, some on my shoulder and elbow. Also my wrist hurts quite a bit, I'm hoping it's nothing serious. Been keeping it iced and rested so hopefully it's just a sprain. I didn't hit my head which was surprising though, helmet didn't have a scratch on it which was some good news!
Kit wise, well I was dressed in my 'sunday' best so RIP pro team bibshorts and jersey, merino baselayer and merino arm warmers. I've already filled out the appropriate repair forms for the bibs and jersey so hopefully Rapha can work their magic. I have heard good things about them, has anyone else had any experience with their service? They can't repair the baselayer or arm warmers but it's only minor holes which I can bodge up myself if needed. Slightly sad about the arm warmers though as they were soooo good :(
Bike damage wise, I got off pretty luckily I guess, nothing was damaged mechanically just some aesthetic scrapes. I scratched one of the levers a little, ripped the bar tape (that was an easy fix, I was due new tape anyway), the left pedal which I landed on is not in the best shape but still useable ( found some really cheap Look Keo 2 Max Carbons on the bay which are winging their way to replace these ones). Crashing gives a nice excuse to upgrade kit btw! And the saddle took a little rip and i punctured the front tyre. But that's about it :)
I haven't been very active lately, just been busy working and haven't really had the time for new projects or anything to update on!
Hopefully my wrist feels better for Saturday although I am dreading it because it's forecast for heavy showers and thunder. JOY! Any advice on the wrist is also much appreciated, like should I take some pain killers before the event if it still hurts? or find a brace of some sort?
*just realised I wrote a long post TL:DR crashed bike, hurt alot, hopefully getting well enough for sportive on saturday

Beautiful frame there, probably would have gone all black components but that's just my personal taste :) Saddle looks like it needs levelling out, although it's probably a combination of the photo angle and with it leant against the fence as well.
Maybe start your own thread with details of the build? I don't mind you hijacking this though.

Probably just me but I find that amusing. It does look generic until the rest of the build demands a double take. Nice work.
:D I just like some colour in my bikes, the brighter the better. When this eventually needs a respray I am gonna give this baby some much needed colour. White seems a little bland sometimes, understated but boring. Just my opinion.

It's alright Boggy no harm done :) but would still be interested in a thread on your build! Waterford's aren't exactly common and any details I'm sure would be of interest to people.
Thanks for the concern about the wrist, I went to the minor injuries unit today to get it checked out, just in case I had broken anything. Good news is I haven't broken anything and it's just a bad sprain which should resolve itself! Think I'll need a brace for it tomorrow though and maybe some paracetamol/ibuprofen.
