you had the bike on ebay so why the sudden change of mind when you think we are all cunts ?
We're not talking about the bike are we? I haven't placed any of the parts on eBay. The change of heart is due to the fact that this forum has a CLASSIFIED section, where things, I assume, are put up for sale. If you must know, I also need to raise some cash fairly urgently due to financial difficulties arising from my 2 year battle with cancer, otherwise I wouldn't be selling at all. I also don't think you're all c@*nts. Far from it. But, I now firmly believe you are.
-
And plenty who only turn up to trade, free of Ebay fees.
Firstly, I thought this forum would be a more suitable place for such items. Secondly, I always planned to donate what I would've payed in fees in forum donations as, regardless of some negatives, I have always found this forum and endless source of information and a real attribute to the cycling (not just fixie) fraternity and would like it to continue.

Feeling contrite, my apologies Coventry Eagle. Coming from a long line of foul-mouthed South London 'geezers', the words smug and c@*nt go together like rhubarb and custard, and therefore, used far too flippantly. I found the act of informing me what something wasn't rather than what it is rather unhelpful. This, I wrongfully deduced, bordered on a level of smugness that rankled me somewhat, resulting in my distasteful comment. I'm sure you're neither smug, nor a C-word, as attested by the comments of your fellow forum regulars.
No hard feelings I hope as life's far too short for such ill-feeling :) -

^^^ TBH, it's so easy to have a cursory google before you sell something, even if you think you know what it is, that it's just a bit of a dick move not to. Chin up, check yer facts next time :)
Believe it or not, I did! Try it and you'll see that what I listed also appears. Alas, you learn something new every day as they say, and, also, some things never change...

Bike has been absolutely 100% looked after and cared for with no cost spared. This bike cost £1200 (frameset £699 RRP) and is in mint condition - no dents or dings anywhere. There are a couple of touched-up chips (from other people carelessly locking their bikes next to mine) and has bike theft prevention logo on it. There are also some rub marks on rear of saddle as is to be expected but no tears or rips. Very sad to see her go but ill health forces reluctant sale.
£575
Any questions please feel free to ask.
Can organise courier or can be collected from London or Liverpool

Yo,
I have pair of these for sale. I bought them for a project but I've kept the 90's shimano 600 brakes that come with it. They need a bit of a polish and new pads but they are in good working order.
I'll try and take some photos in the next 2 days as I'm completely mental at work at the mo.
email me at anthony.puddy@gmail.com.
Cool..
Unfortunately, I feel I have little to contribute on a subject where others are clearly far more knowledgable, apart from selling my bits (I'd get even less for me 'bits'). What this exercise has highlighted is that my casual cunting must be curtailed and to not go onto forums after a beer!
I have tried to apologise. But to Coventry Eagle, Scilly Suffolk (I was only having a bit of fun - and the missus won't do reader's wives) and yourself Gios78, I sincerely apologise.
I'm sure you're not a miserable Sottish C@^t, being Scottish is a burden in itself ;) And being an Englishman, perhaps being a C@^t is what we do best!
It is easy to trade insults in this manner but I'd like to think that if we ever met (which we might've - you weren't at JimS's wedding were you?!) we'd probably get on handsomely!!!!
