You can run them with brakes - they come in a bunch of different sizes for different wheel/brake combos.

A bunch of drivers just outside Harrogate were very patient with myself and buddy after he hit the deck (skidded out on a bit of plastic or something on the road) on a big roundabout. Could've been horrible, but everyone was great.
