someone else had mentioned how loud it is on one of the videos, apparently they had the thing mic'd up so it sounded really noisy but it's a lot quieter in reality.

have been considering this for my sscx if i want to convert to gears - bit spendy but no cables, no messing with levers, can use any rear derailleur...

tried a 35mm cyclocros speed tyre in the front of my 2015 equilibrium disc - around 1mm clearance either side. too tight for me.

ebb install - bb shell - to grease or not to grease?

are you supposed to grease the bb shell when installing an ebb?
or just the faces of moving parts / threads?

i just took mine out and cleaned it up following a chainring change, but found contradictory info.
(this was on an alu frame charge plug - spec printed on the ebb was 6.75 Nm for the wedge bolt - bolt had threadlock on)

sounds fair! I've got an equilibrium disc with straight steerer so have been looking at options on a lighter fork than the genesis one. not much around though unless you're prepared to spend a few hundred quid... best money no option option is probably the ritchey wcs. nice and light but a bit spendy.

not specifically, but i have had a 10ft long pole attached to the top of the post and couldn't get that to move...i've even made a 'post puller' device thing - that didn't work either.
i think cutting is my only option at this point.

nah, i've got previous on stuck posts though. tried almost all the tricks on it, it's properly wedged. just plucking up the courage to saw it out. i'd leave it as is but it's about 10mm too low. annoying to have to destroy the thomson post, but maybe an excuse for a carbon upgrade.
