97% finished for now.
put some knobblies on from the shed. 26x2.0 fast track which just fit under the 60mm guards, I certainly wouldn't want to go any bigger.
I'm going to keep an eye out for a better rear rack, I've made a flap template for the front guard but need to get a bit of leather.
I'll decide in the spring if I'm going to paint it or not.
also made a rubbish decal for shits'n'gigsalso, some ne'er-do-well decided to relieve me of my front light last week while locked up at the station, so I need to purchase a new light.

i could use the carbon fork from the equilibrium if i wanted to use it in road mode - 32mm max tyre size, then switch in the metal fork for fatter tyres with guards for winter/adventures/etc.
if i'm being honest with myself, i should probably reduce my bikes by a couple, but i do so love them all...

I've been looking for a steel frameset with a bit more 'adventure' capabilities to swap out with my genesis equilibrium disc.
options so far;
brother Kepler disc - on sale for £350 at the moment.
cotic escapade - nice but a bit more ££
croix de fer 725 - has straight steerer so limited on carbon fork options
fearless vulture
Ribble 725 - pricey framesetany other steel frame options worth considering?

it's really wankery.
I had a lady behind me yesterday who tried to overtake me as a car was pulling out from a junction into the oncoming lane.
I looked behind and took the lane to block her, and gave the customary tap the helmet 'use your brain you fucking idiot' hand signal.
Less than a minute later she overtakes on a bend while a car is coming towards in the oncoming lane, then 50 metres later she has to slow for a speed bump, then stop for a traffic queue, at which point I filter past (making sure to slow down and give her an exadurated head shake and look of extreme unimpressedness)I reckon 90% of shit overtakes are just down to people being impatient. the fucking nobs.

douchebag on a bike was very lucky I wasn't a car on my commute home when he decided to shoot across the road from the opposite pavement from behind a parked car without even glancing behind him, no lights, headphones in.
he shit himself and nearly fell off when I locked up inches from plowing into him.
what a fucking prick. -
narrow wide chainring arrived and fitted - we are practically mechanically complete!
still to do:
reposition front light (completely blocked when anything is in the basket...)
nicer rack
new saddle at some stage (brooks b17?)
bigger volume tyres
special paint
guards?also pondering wether 29's would fit and would it be wise or even possible?
n.b. no apologies for pants and socks
nice! looks good with the 1x kit. I'll be sticking with a double up front, although I swapped out the original non series crankset for a 105 with compact gearing.
also, I've gone for a 56 Kepler from the genesis 58 as I always felt it was a bit big and I was a bit concerned with the horizontal TT being too high.
looking forward to building it up!
