I spied this one at a national trust in Norfolk over the summer.
not sure if it's a genuine McRae car or a replica / tribute although I'm guessing the latter.

I imagine that attempting to adjust the angles on aluminium tubes is likely to fatigue the metal and encourage it to snap.

I think I'd be more worried about the battery catching fire while charging than it falling off the bike.

this is the route i rode on saturday which takes in some bits around bradgate / swithland woods / beacon hill, along with some of the bosworth trail near whitwick.

the road bits around coalville aren't that good, but there are some mountain bike trails in snibston country park that are good for a blast, and a nice cafe which make up for it.

i should really look into a dynamo setup for my commuter. it would certainly help for the unscheduled post work drinks scenarios.

i've got a caad12 disc in jazzy purple that i need to advertise but haven't got around to yet.
was hoping to sell complete but i could be persuaded to strip it down to f&f.
would be looking for around £800 complete or £400 as a frameset +postage.

just catching up with this thread. some really tasteful builds.

it was fine when I was seated, only really noticeable when on the ends of the hoods.
I'll try out a stiffer elastomer, they're dead easy to swap out.

I'm really pleased with the bike. it rides lovely and with a few tweaks will be perfect (don't @ me about the bars)
suspension stem was a bit weird at first especially when out of the saddle on road climb bits but off-road it felt great. I hardly noticed the seatpost which is a good thing I guess?
absolutely no fatigue after the ride in my forearms, despite some quite rocky / rooty trails.
