I agree that a bag with proper support would be better. But saying that after literally thousands of Kms I've had no problems at all with this bag and I love that you get to choose colours.If I were in the market again though I'd get Jordan (Bigxtop) to make me one. I've got one of his rucksacks and it's bombproof! I only recently saw he was doing the bar bags though.

With summer approaching I'm thinking about a new touring bike.
I'll be on roads 90% of the time but would like it to handle the odd bit of bridal path, tow path etc.
Only using it for going away for 2-3 nights at a time so doesn't have to carry very much but I want it to be fun/fast to ride. Thinking front lowrider rack and saddle bag as I already own theses.
Not sure about OTP or building something up from scratch. I quite like the Salsa Vaya but not it's OTP spec.
Any suggestions? -

Any thoughts on Thorn bikes?
I'm interested in the Club Tour model as a light touring option.
I'll be front loading mainly but may stick a tent on the rear rack from time to time.
