My dad was told by a customer of his that his transportable was worth around £5000 which i find increadable but to know where the right place to sell is hard.

Ok well i have a mobria transportable mobile phone circa 1982 ive tryed calling antique dealers, phone places, looking up ebay and other places where vintage stuff gets sold but i havent a clue how much its worth. Now i know people have said to me "well its worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it" well this helps me not one fucking bit. Well i have a classic campervan that ive put up to sell but no biters yet. But im seriously considering keeping it fixing it up and travel in it. Other GREAT new i found out today is that it is EXEMPT yay! From the ldn emissions zone rules. Im sooo chuffed.

I havnt fitted a freewheel. For the most part the bike is a beater but not the wheel set so i dont want to fuck it up. So yeh ill try do it up see if it works if not ill try a few other ways suggested.

Just tested fixie project and the chain is slipping with the cog. Is this fixed by just tightning it?

Foot retention? The saddle is quite low so it cant be that small for you?

Seat post is original peugeot very short and the only one i have until i file down the one i bought so i can fit it to the bike and ride it.

Right I have pretty much finished my geared bike no thanks to the c u next tuesday LBS man. And also put together my beater fixie. But having a little trouble the chain is a little slack but i can take another link out. Any sugesstions? Also i have a freel wheel to put on my rosa pro lite wheels its 1/8 free wheel is that the right one and also when i screw it on the wheel does it go on with the writing on the outside or facing inside?

I have an interview for a job next monday. It's at 4.45 in shadwell, and can not be at any other time. I am meant to finish work at 4.45 in st john's wood. If I was with my old supervisor it wouldn't be a problem, but it's gonna be my new supervisor's first day so I can't exactly piss off at 3.30

Dont tell your employers that you have an interview. Ask if you can have the afternoon off. As you Need to go to the dentist and the only oppointment you can get is next monday afternoon. Best option!

I have the cable stops and even gave them to my LBS and they did nothing with them. I dont want downtube shift lever thats why i have sti levers. The only thing is i now have four holes in the downtube for the cables to go through. And now have to plug them up if i use the cable stops as the BB can get water in. With the cable stops i just screw them into the old lever holes and thread the cable thru?

Yep, so ideally that clamp needs to be moved up the downtube to where the shifters originally were. The gear cables can then lead straight to the guide on the bottom bracket shell.

shifters on peugeot frame that should have them on the tube not handlebars. No cable stopper on tube.

Right! I sent my bike in to LBS and he put my groupset on my bike but im not happy with what hes done.

Question! When i try to change gear with the dule brake/gear levers they are really hard to push not smooth movement as they should be, would you know of a way i can fix this?

I was thinking it might be the tension in the cable or maby (bike has no cable stopper under BB) he used what i can only describe as a jubilee clip but not put it on top of the cable (outer housing) hes just jubileed the cable. As a way to stop the outer housing to move to maby this is why changing gear is so hard?
