@wiganwill alot of the cycle paths in my area are designated half pavement half cycle path. so its not really pavement riding. sorry about the grammatical error. not everyone is as obviously gifted as you at grammer. once again, my apologies.

yeah, checked for pinch's everytime, the tires were brilliant up until about midway through august, since then ive just been getting more and more punctures, dont know if for some strange reason the puncture protection layers decided to go AWOL or whatever

might have to try them, all these punctures are making me want to revert to a damn mountain bike, never got a puncture on one of those

i did do a quick search but all i got was classifieds..

anyone know a great tube and tyre combo so i can try to get less punctures, i do alot of road riding, and some cheeky on pavement riding. currently running Schwalbe Lugano's with specialized 22-28 tubes, also anyone know if tyre slime is any good... (would post a question mark but my laptop's fucked)

Maybe meet us in Shenfield and ride as far as you feel comfortable. It's only 30 miles from Shenfield to Colchester which is the first easy place to get the train back. For anyone who's reasonably fit and has their bike set up right 30 miles is easily doable. How far have you ridden before?

i will do, i rode from ockendon to dagenham and back and ride to southend every now and then southends 26 miles so 30 should be do-able

Me and a couple of friends we're thinking of starting up a group of riders in essex to ride about race, polo etc. we've been riding together for yonks and often do rides in our part of essex, ((south east) the bad part) from grays to southend. just wondering if anyone would be up for joining. All bikes welcome. even tricycles if you can keep up.

didn't think when i bough the bike, but now all the signs seem to add up, i was trying to find a new bike as id just had my beautiful old raleigh stolen from rainham, locked up out side my girlfriends house no less. so as i tried to find a new bike as its the only way i get around i found a fairly fresh gumtree advert for a blue track ended frame with an ss wheelset, poorly constructed advert, and for the price of £150 i thought this quite reasonable , so i jumped on the train from ockendon and traveled to the agreed meeting point of whitechapel station, got there about 10 minuites late, and he kept phoning me, he wouldnt leave as he called it his "yard" until i was at said point, got there, handed over the cash and i now have the bike , if this is anyones and they would like it back i would be happy to give it back fro the payed amount.
