anyone want to go halves on an order, I want just the PT winter jacket. I can round my order up to £100 with a pair of socks.. If I got the PTJ+socks for £75 that would be a bargain..
@Saffronspokes, do you want to go halves by any chance? I have the £50 off voucher code from your link..

I've considered it but how do you solve the issue of the roof not overhanging the gable end wall enough already, let alone once you add further insulation.
We'd need to remove all render (cement), add insulation, render with lime, amend roof, sort gutters etc which is why internal is appealing as we're gutting everything anyway

If your walls aren't perfectly true there's a good chance that doing by eye will end up looking straighter anyway. I remember as a teenager spending ages mounting an acrylic sign perfectly level only for it to look wonky and shit because it was an old house and nothing was straight. Did it by eye and it looked perfect.
Yeah did exactly that, mounted shelving level, realised radiator was way off anyway and looks wrong. At least the rad can be adjusted..

How a kitchen tap should be:
Tap connected to a flexible tail with female connector at the end connected to an isolator valve connected to the rest of your plumbing.
Reality:
Tap connected to copper tails normally used in healthcare and food industry settings with a male end connector, connected to a female to male flexi hose terminating on a compression fitting with no isolation valve.Naturally, to be an extra bastard, the existing flexi hose is also really long so that once you add in the length of the copper tails it makes it impossible to get flexi tap tails long enough. You then extend the pipe work to get the new tails to reach, don’t fully tighten a compression fitting and flood the kitchen👍🏼

oh yeah she definitely got a good price and it wasn't a complicated build but the idea that replacing a bath would be either 1/3 or 2/3 of the cost of a job where trades were on site for weeks is insanity.
Im just conscious that in this thread you might believe you weren't getting your pants pulled down if someone quoted you 6.5k minimum to swap a bath out and 10k for it to be done to a good standard.

I know everything is expensive but no way is that a 6.5k job 😂 as @grams said, just shim it if its a bit lower
My mate (N.london), 1 or two years ago had a whole bathroom done for 8k and it was done to a fairly high standard
