Had a decent ride down from dunwich saturday morning. Then sat around for 4 hours waiting for my mate to turn up.
Didnt leave hackney til pretty much 10pm and no matter what we did we couldn't get our average speed up.
Then I started falling asleep on the bike about half way and was forced to sleep in a hedge behind the burger van just before the fire station. Few pro plus and 15 minute power nap seemed to do the trick.
I was sweating when moving then frozen to the bone when stopped.
After what seemed like an eternity we arrived at the lake, had another nap and we rolled into the beach nearly 24 hours and 230 miles after I set off.
Chuffed with getting it finished as I'd have done anything to bail 30 miles into the return leg but I wont be doing that again (the double anyway). Just as I was leaving the beach saw @veganjoseph and a few others just leaving for their return route and was very glad I did the return part before not after.

I thought it was just people ignoring it but yesterday had a police X5 that was behind cars and vans blocking the whole junction so assumed they gave up on the whole stopping people getting killed there regularly initiative.
Just through the junction said policeman swung aggressively right before turning left (he was indicating left into Lombard Street so I positioned myself to his right). Sometimes I really dislike people

It was ridiculous there was nobody on the crossing he was saying it to people patiently waiting on the pavement to cross.
He was cycling about 5-10 meters behind me and there was nobody crossing when I went through and when I heard his stupid siren and then shouting I turned round and there was nobody i could see near him.
Got a feeling if you carry a megaphone on your cycle to work then you are just looking for excuses to use it, I saw him about to turn onto Tooley street and instantly thought he was going to be aggro

I had a pretty decent light and got told off by someone who was adamant I overtook her which was a bit of a pain as we were on a hill and with 170 miles in my legs I was trying to go at a steady pace (which happened to be similar to hers).
