RIDER DOWN. Me. En route to South Beers tonight. Wimbledon hill. Chain came off rear sprocket and embedded itself in rear wheel spokes. Locked up back wheel going down the hill at speed, lost control and went over. Damage to hand and knee again.

That's twice the chain has come off the rear sprocket down a hill, different chains, different tensions each time.

I'd like to join for this tonight. First time. Coach and Horses from 7 right?

Really cool guys running it, none of your normal Trek, Specialized, Giant merchandise, all interesting, mostly italian frames, Deda bars, etc.

Really recommend having a look, and like benjam said, the idea is they'll have a cafe showing cycling events, workshops etc downstairs.

I have a funny feeling the organisers encourage breakaways to make it more exciting for the viewers.

Which infact, you most likely aren't unless you fundamentally believe in an inherent genetic superiority of different races over another, and even then, unless you put that into the practise of discriminating against certain races for that reason you are not legally racist or racially discriminating, which is an offence in this country. (It's a pretty grey term still).
